  1. Maybe I’m just cynical but If he does ride it will be more fuel on the fire
  2. What will be interesting if he recovers to ride for Redcar
  3. Is there some beef between drew and anders ? In heat 2 drew seemed to do everything he could do to stop Anders pass him and challenge the panthers riders
  4. Or maybe Craig is more committed to riding for Glasgow than Ipswich
  5. Isn’t Jason Edwards the rising star ??? Or has Alfie Bowtell took over as rising star ?
  6. Compare that response to Barry Bishop at the IOW who took on board a fan’s suggestion. Implemented it at a meeting. Asked for feedback on the success which was positive and promptly rewarded the fan to entry to the next meeting as a guest of the club. that’s how to treat a customer properly
  7. I don’t think he is bluffing this time. He has transformed the stadium and now he probably feels it’s a good time to retire and get away from all the hassle of running a speedway club.
  8. We had a similar situation at Ipswich when all the riders apart from the two captains wanted to give it a go. It will come as no surprise those two riders were schlien and cook. Usual suspects. While I accept rider safety is paramount and quite rightly, I get very annoyed when the riders don’t at least try the surface before condemning it. there is no consideration at all for the paying customer on the riders part and if anyone can sort a wet track out it’s Buster as I’ve witnessed many times before.
  9. That sounds like the SCB and the BSPL have their hands out first and then hang them out to dry. if the riders do move on then Newcastle should have first shout. But we all know money talks and they will go to Glasgow
  10. What a brilliant result. Hopefully a very healthy and happy home crowd
  11. Dust clouds are unacceptable. Old or new fans don’t want to get filthy while watching speedway. another problem is riders hate the track been watered during the meeting. If the track has been prepared properly in the first place then watering shouldn’t be needed unless it’s a really hot day. if you fail to prepare then prepare to fail I’m afraid
  12. Personally I think the robins will return to the abbey but it will be in exactly the same state as when they left it. I think a lot depends on the health of Terry Russell and his will to continue. Does anyone know how Terry is ??
  13. They only rent the stadium from the council and sub let it to the speedway. If they owned it then it would be flats by now
  14. I only remember sky showing championship meetings. Not BT.
  15. Well done to everyone involved. What a fantastic effort
  16. I’m travelling up from Ipswich tomorrow and would be grateful for weather updates
  17. Not who I was told. If this riders signs it’s a cracking signing
  18. With the team assembled way under the points limit. A number one released to cut costs. Two riders making comebacks and originally signing a NDL second string as a reserve then you surely can’t expect a winning team as well !!!! especially when you don’t put your top scorer in heat 15 presumably to keep your wage bill down.
