I can’t see that’s the reason as they were denied permission to race a home fixture at mildenhall and then were allowed to race at Leicester before the weather beat them. I think they made every effort possible. I think the stadium owners have found a loophole in the caveat that said speedway must be retained at the stadium and pushed the rental up so it’s impossible to continue

It’s been said but unconfirmed that the new owner of Central Park has upped the rent for speedway significantly which has caused this issue.

Looks like kings want to continue but haven’t got a track. Eastbourne have a track but no team. Seems like 1991 when Wimbledon relocated to Eastbourne

How come it’s open 5 days a week during construction for greyhound racing yet speedway can’t return til building is completed. Why can’t the stadium be closed on the back straight while the new stand is erected. Once that is up and running then you could close the other half of the stadium and demolish the old stand. it’s not difficult

Wonder if the masons might relocate ? Definitely a bigger fan base at Eastbourne than Birmingham and access to the track would not be a problem
