  1. Ipswich can race til 10.15 but they can’t use the loudspeakers after 10 pm. have witnessed this once before and it was very eerie with no results or times being announced. however bizarre the rules are you cannot afford to break them.
  2. Is cookie ill or just got the hump after the international challenge at Glasgow on Saturday ?
  3. Could be a cost cutting exercise by the brummies. If what I was told was correct it’s a lot of money for someone scoring 5 or 6 pts
  4. Be interesting to hear vissings version of events. Three sides to every story. Vissing , Birmingham and the truth in the middle.
  5. Havelock is by far the worst team manager tactically. Put himself into a corner in heat 14 with both pirates needing a third and final ride. And was Bomber under power when the last heat was stopped ??? I’d have been straight onto the referee
  6. I’ve watched several meetings via emtv over the last two years and lasts nights was probably the least entertaining racing wise but the score line kept the meeting interesting.
  7. Just read the Rob grant interview in the speedway star. Wow. Takes no responsibility whatsoever. Blames it on Sunday race days and greedy riders along with Glasgow speedway for not wanting to ride on a dangerous track !!!!!
  8. We have signed him before and he had a terrible attitude and constantly gave up when at the back. Unfortunately the promotion sacked him and had to reinstate him as they didn’t know the rules on team building. id imagine bridges were burnt on both sides understandably
  9. And that’s why the sport is on its arse. Amateurs running the show.
  10. Shows what I know !!!! Only in speedway would you get sacked for putting two points on your average !!!
  11. Ipswich have missed a trick by not booking Stefan Nielsen to guest for barker.
  12. You could get mick Poole and ronni pedersen out of retirement whilst we get Tim hunt and preben eriksen
  13. I rarely attend mildenhall anymore because it always takes forever to complete meetings. I went Sunday to support a great cause but left after 16 heats as it was dragging on. four hours and 6 minutes is unacceptable to complete a meeting. If they could complete a regular meeting in 90 minutes I’d probably attend but they never do. And that seems to be the same under numerous promotions at mildenhall.
  14. Yesterday was the funeral of club stalwart Chris Ellis which as expected was very well attended for a celebration of her life. Just wanted to say that Danny king and Ritchie Hawkins attending the lunch time funeral making the effort to come from Peterborough to Ipswich and then back to Peterborough for our meeting. They made me proud and deserve praise for their efforts and we really do have a very special club with fantastic staff and fans. RIP Chris xxx
  15. I think you will find Ellis is blameless. Offered a 28 day contract which he honoured plus some. His schedule doesn’t allow for championship once all his other leagues start. he got you out of a muddle in my opinion. It was the promotion who were economical with the truth that caused the fuss.
  16. Today’s feature in the speedway star about Newcastle is solely quotes taken from the BSN coverage from Sunday. absolutely no comment from the promotion whatsoever.
  17. The situation seems similar to how Newport ended up under the late Tim Stone.
  18. He would have been injured so unable to take his place in the team
  19. Doesn’t seem to be any communication from the club at all. the conflicting report in the speedway star was because the club didn’t provide anything for them to print so someone from the speedway star had to produce a article on their behalf.
  20. This is like watching the 2008 mildenhall team. Nowhere near competive. Really feel for the fans. bringing in jack smith is a complete waste of time. Even someone like victor pavlova would make a difference as it would push clegg into a reserve berth
  21. Drew scored 14 points on his debut for Ipswich at Scunthorpe and raised all expectations.
  22. It wasn’t a speedway meeting it was a gathering and therefore doesn’t count !!!!
  23. It’s very easy with hindsight to criticise especially if you didn’t attend the meeting and can’t witness the effort and determination or otherwise but I do wonder if Stewart Dickson was still in charge how many league titles Glasgow would have won under the current regime.
