  1. Been raining for a couple of hours but due to clear up later. Fingers crossed. If it’s on there could be some fast times tonight.
  2. I think they will make the playoffs. Are they the new Exeter with huge home advantage?
  3. Thought production was as good as Eurosport to be honest and the commentator very good. BSN very good value. Plus every round of Premier pairs added.
  4. Not sure who the main commentator is on BSN but he’s very good and supported by Rosco it’s probably the best team I have heard this season.
  5. One things for sure. Starke isn’t going to score the same as Harris last week!
  6. Forecast looking dodgy. A few hours of rain due tomorrow afternoon before clearing away by 6pm. Hopefully not too heavy.
  7. Looking at the Oxford team, Jack Thomas is a doppelgänger for Troy Batchelor!
  8. Battle for the second bend lap one. Unless you are Bomber. Hope I am wrong watching this but last week other than Bomber the race was over back straight lap one with about two exceptions.
  9. Watching this on the BSN. Be interesting to see how Starke goes this week compared to Bomber last week against Poole. Good to hear Rosco on comms.
  10. You mean Rob Lyon has been on the PA to apologise to the fan…at last.
  11. Who do you think you are kidding Mr Lyon, if you think Dads Army’s good. Mr Kurtz went off the start on VH21, and Blodorn with his gating left the others with his chum.
  12. If the club asked Eddie Howe along as guest of honor, they would get thousands through the turnstile.
  13. Are they getting of that ridiculous motor cross style bump at the starting fate? Riders go over it and virtually take off entering bend one.
  14. Heard it was a dreadful meeting with serious track issues. Tractor on track more than riders. As for Wednesday, a very easy Pirates win. Hopefully Newcastle will put up a fight and not simply capitulate. 58-32 ish.
  15. The BSB’s had a certain aroma which was only found there. Probably eminating from the green mould up the walls by the urinals.
  16. It really isn’t good at all, unless you are Bomber. Racing was off second bend lap one, unless you were Bomber. There was a pass by Ben Cook off bend 4 lap 2 in one heat and if memory serves me, another pass after lap one. It is not a better track than some let you believe. But I guess it’s better than nothing. Too small, too tight and lots of follow the leader after bend two. The home riders know this, that’s why they are so frantic to get through immediately.
  17. Just got in and wish I had stayed at home and watched the stream instead. Pirates were on a 5-1 in heat 1 when Zac lost a chain and from then on it was a hard night at the office. Plymouth ran off several 4-2’s, only for Pirates to reply with three of their own to level at 21-21. But then the tractors came out and removed all the dirt from the track and piled it up on the center green on the back straight. It made the meeting into first out of the second bend and although Pirates occasionally gated, very poor decisions coming out of the second bend allowed the Plymouth riders through and the races were over by the third bend. Unless you were Chris Harris who put in his usual shift against Poole and was outstanding, blasting inside and outside and unstoppable. Only he could do this. Poor decision making and not being hard enough made the meeting a bore (unless Harris was in a heat) as it was follow the leader. But take nothing away from the Plymouth team who knew where to put their bikes coming off the second bend to win tonight easily. I doubt any team will win at Plymouth for the remainder of this season. You know it’s a track with plenty of home advantage when you see riders like Bowtell beat top championship riders like Steve Worrall with ease. (No disrespect aimed at Bowtell) A fair result, no qualms about it. In the scheme of things it means little as neither Leicester or Glasgow will get anything there either. Well done to Plymouth. Nice to have a chat with Lewi before the meeting.
  18. Good crowd coming in lots of Poole fans on back straight.
  19. Not so sure it will be easy. Huge home advantage and Lawson is carrying a bad knock. Of course the opportunity is there and it would be disappointing to lose but Plymouth are no walkovers on their track.
  20. A little worrying about Lawson knee and the form of Drew Kemp tonight. Need to improve tomorrow to get a result.
