  1. Awful gate and go meeting with very little passing. Cardiff was better than this. Gates 1 and 4 a huge advantage. Still, we have two in the semis. Let’s hope one makes the final.
  2. Typical Voyens. Been there half a dozen times and never great. Best time was when Trick won it passing Neilsen with a giggling Boyce in third. 93 I think.
  3. You are pretty clueless about this whole thing, aren’t you? Suggest you educate yourself on who Queen Elizabeth 2nd was, and why it’s wall to wall coverage and will continue to be. She was not a celebrity. Your dismissal of her with a minutes silence and let’s get on with life shows just how little you know or understand.
  4. Actually she wasn’t destined to become Queen. Edward VIII abdicated the throne in 1936 to his brother George VI, which put Elizabeth a directly in line after her fathers death in 1952. When Edward Vlll abdicated the throne, 6 year old Princess Margaret asked her older sister if that meant she would eventually become Queen. When told she would, Margaret told Elizabeth, “Poor You!”
  5. It’s been announced by the palace there will be 7 days of official mourning.
  6. Of course it should be run in honour of Her Majesty.
  7. Perhaps you and Fishergate can go out to the pub on Saturday and chat about how you would have easily beaten Poole. And that the Queen has ruined your speedway night by dying.
  8. The lack of respect to our Monarch from some Leicester fans is shameful to be honest.
  9. No. That is not the case. You might feel that but the majority of citizens are very saddened by the loss of our Queen who has been there all our lives.
  10. Yes life does go on after a period of mourning. Sorry for your loss. But the Queen is the Queen and deserves the time of reflect for her unwavering duty and service to this nation. She is not an actor, or politician. For 70 years she was monarch and postponing a few speedway meetings and sporting events is something most can put up with.
  11. It was stated tonight on BT Sport that this weekends football fixtures are likely to be cancelled with no sporting activities for the 10 days of mourning. This will clearly affect speedway as any other sport taking place. There should be an announcement tomorrow. Leicester v Poole on Saturday is now off.
  12. With the very sad new coming through this afternoon about the death of the Queen, it looks unlikely this fixture will now go ahead, putting more pressure on a congested fixture list. I am guessing that we will have a clearer picture tomorrow when announcements are made.
  13. Well you might want to support someone taking illegal substances but others have a different opinion. Drugs have no part in sport.an illegal substance is not prescription or taking a couple of extra paracetamol.
  14. Looks like he got off lightly. Could have got 2 years. Will Plymouth stand by him now or want him in their team next season?
  15. Fingers crossed will be down for this. Meant to be up in London for business but will try to rearrange. If not will buy the stream.
  16. Of course it was the right call to ride today. Unfortunate that a thunderstorm, which was not predicted in any forecast, grew over the channel and had our name on it. Looking outside now it’s a pleasant evening. No way should the meeting have been called off early. Now, because of the rainoff, the Leicester meeting in the KO Cup needs to be put back. We could be playing them three time at Poole in a month.
  17. Well said. But the majority of Plymouth fans on here are agressive in their tone and seem to think Plymouths injury crisis is Poole’s fault.
