Period of mourning. No sport activities.

You are pretty clueless about this whole thing, aren’t you? Suggest you educate yourself on who Queen Elizabeth 2nd was, and why it’s wall to wall coverage and will continue to be. She was not a celebrity. Your dismissal of her with a minutes silence and let’s get on with life shows just how little you know or understand. -

Yes life does go on after a period of mourning. Sorry for your loss. But the Queen is the Queen and deserves the time of reflect for her unwavering duty and service to this nation. She is not an actor, or politician. For 70 years she was monarch and postponing a few speedway meetings and sporting events is something most can put up with.

This will clearly affect speedway as any other sport taking place. There should be an announcement tomorrow. Leicester v Poole on Saturday is now off.

Of course it was the right call to ride today. Unfortunate that a thunderstorm, which was not predicted in any forecast, grew over the channel and had our name on it. Looking outside now it’s a pleasant evening. No way should the meeting have been called off early. Now, because of the rainoff, the Leicester meeting in the KO Cup needs to be put back. We could be playing them three time at Poole in a month.
