Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22
Steve Shovlar replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Last time I was at Sheffield was for a wtc meeting in the rain with Loram getting injured. Can’t remember the year. Before that 1974 when Sheffield beat Swindon 45-33. Doesn’t seem to have changed much. People always raving how good the track is for passing. Looking forward to a Block Buster of the meeting. -

Asked about this tonight. Glasgow have pulled out. Shouldn’t be allowed to imo but dates are Poole on the 26th and Leicester 29th. -
Poole confirmed Championship next season but would consider Premier league in 2024 if the Tuesday/Thursday only nights were dropped.

Middlo’s 26th trophy and won at a canter to be honest. The cup was won at Redcar and tonight at the after meeting conference it was admitted that the team knew what needed to be done without taking too many risks. A few things to come out of the conference. Matt Ford got on the mic and said Poole would be riding Championship next year but would consider going Premier league as long as the Tuesday/Thursday only race nights are dropped. Poole, he stated were a Wednesday night team and would only ride on a Wednesday. He said every one of the 1-7 would sign for next season at the drop of a hat, but knew that cannot happen due to rule changes during the winter. Danny King pulled out of heat 13 due to his broken finger. It was giving him jip all meeting and they kept trying to strap it up in different ways but he said it was a struggle to ride the high wide line as it needs a lot of strength and he was suffering. No meeting until the final now so he can rest it and get it strapped properly. Drew Kemp was asked about his erratic form and admitted he has got a lot of improvement to make. As usual he won heat 14 but it’s earlier in the meeting we need him to score. Nathan said the going was too tough tonight and he couldn’t get out of the start. But he did well at Redcar and received a loud round of applause. Two coaches going to Leicester plus many by car. Should be a good Poole contingent on first bend.
