  1. Didn’t Bowes ride for Workington at Plymouth last season?
  2. Kyle has started the first two meeting from a standing start on fire! And to think he couldn’t get a team berth last season.
  3. Need to do aggregate over Oxford and we are through if Plymouth beat them.
  4. Lawson wins. Good to see Richard not affected from last night.
  5. Here we go. Rushen has an issue with his bike on parade lap.
  6. Completely agree. Just a racing incident and no malice intended from either rider.
  7. Big crowd tonight for Plymouth, which is good to see. A damp night but track looks ok. Hope they don’t hang about and need to get on with it.
  8. Be extra pro Poole Rob. It’s called Pirates tv for a reason.
  9. No one, and I mean no one around me thought Lawson was at fault. A rider on the outside often comes around and clamps the rider on the inside. It looked like Tobias lifted and collected them both. With the aid of a replay in slow motion it could well look different and I am not saying Lawson wasn’t hard. We all know Lawson never, ever takes prisoners. I recall one time where he said he went light on a rider because they were an inexperienced young rider who had gated in front of him. As team mates last season and next to each other in the pits all last season I doubt there was any animosity whatsoever. Just bikes that hooked up and they ploughed in.
  10. Richard Lawson did not “stuff” away rider in fence. Lawson was on the outside!
  11. OK thanks. Got it. How the hell anyone can find it is a miracle as it’s not on the Plymouth Gladiators website. https://www.gladiatorslive.com
  12. Both Thomsen and Lawson piled into the third bend airfence at full speed with their bikes. Be surprised the crash footage will be available due to Tobias’ injuries. The airfence did it’s job to a certain extent, and had to be replaced.
  13. Still no streaming link. Guess Plymouth are not bothering tonight. A case of be there or miss out. A shame as their streams last season were excellent. The Plymouth website though is a mess. Out of date team photo from last year, and don’t click in the tickets link if you don’t want you browser to go into meltdown (safari on an iPad)
  14. Anyone got a working link to buy the stream for tonight’s meeting? Just seeing, “page not found” when clicking on the link page of Plymouths website.
  15. Would rather have used r/r. Is Edwards a track specialist?
  16. Person sitting next to me said they had just seen Gary go to the ref’s phone in the pits when Klima was disqualified from heat 14. Only repeating what I was told. Fair enough if it wasn’t him sorting out the refs mess.
  17. I heard about broken femur and a gash on his head with lots of blood but didn’t want to post incase it was false. It was the worst possible way to start a season. I am guessing he will be out for a considerable length of time. Rotten luck there Tobias.
  18. Think it’s a great idea. Other clubs don’t give the opposition the opportunity to feel the track. About time we did the same.
  19. There was a short delay when Gary May got on the phone to the ref after he disqualified Kilmarnock in heat 14 because according to the ref, he had already had 7 rides. Everyone around us was perplexed as we had him down as heat 14 being his 7th ride. Reason given was heat 9 and the ref wasn’t aware Spencer had come in to replace Klima. As for Plymouth, Kling was his usual excellent self, Thompson continues to improve, Barker battles. Is Father Time finally catching up with Scotty? He ran two lasts but was still very fast. Klima was very good value. Battled all night. Don’t think he will be at reserve very long. Spencer is a filler. For Poole Lawson unluckily to be disqualified imo but I only saw it live and it was done in a flash. Battled well considering it was nasty. Newman did more than expected. Kerr was Kerr. Bowes improved as the meeting went on. Cook was excellent. Cairns battled all night, and Rushen found it tough as expected. But thoughts must go to Tobias who got the far worse of an extremely nasty crash. I won’t mention rumours of injuries and everything will be known very soon. But I will just say get well soon Tobias. Always popular at Wimborne Road.
  20. APeople moaning about bias on a PIRATES stream. You couldn’t make it up. No I have never watched Pirates stream but darts legend Scott Mitchell is a Poole fan. Expect nothing less. Huge crowd tonight. A shame the nasty crash marred the meeting though. Best wishes for Tobias and hope he gets well soon. Two riders hooking up and ploughing into the fence at speed. We had to wait along time in the wind and the track dried out. Still a decent win for a team that will only get better.
