I like a Gavan post. Both leagues.

Why do the Sheffield track staff allow the dirt to build up against the fence in such a way to make it dangerous? Not difficult to bring it back towards the center.
-
Just what we don’t need.
-
Don’t have that in the Championship hence the rules are different.
-
In the Championship in heat 8 a reserve can be swapped by another reserve but no t/r. Clearly the rule is different in the Premier.
-
Voulas is other reserve. Reserve switch is allowed. Unless rule different in Premier and Championship.
-
That livens it up a bit. Blodorn won’t ride again Voulas will have his other ride.
-
Could have done a reserve switch. BV’s choice.
-
Voulas is riding well.
-
J Holder riding in a playoff semi like he did for Poole at Ipswich a few seasons back. Real let down.
-
BV 16 up. Sheffield look spent. BV champs 25.

Belle Vue started the meeting very well. Doing better than most have thought.

I had no idea of the result and it’s not difficult to avoid if I stay off here or Speedwayupdates. Before the meeting it was fairly obvious Oxford would be in the final. Thought Scunthorpe put up a decent fight but they needed to be ten up to counter Masters/Nicholls and were nowhere near it. The reason Scunthorpe and Workington failed to make the final is clear. They didn’t have riders capable of beating the top Oxford and Poole riders. The final is very open as to who will be Champions. Poole have run Oxford close twice at Cowley. Oxford have been beaten and won comfortably at Wimborne Road. To close to call a week out.

Not sure. His equipment is crap. So many EF’s. Rather have an ambitious youngster in the team.
-
Because it was your club racing the doubt was there. I didn’t care who won, and there was no doubt for me as a neutral. Would Kemp and Howarth beat Nicholls and Masters in heat 13? Not a chance and so it proved from the gate. Heat 15 and would Allen and Howarth surprise us? Not a chance. Nicholls said he was happy to “sit where he was”, but it was too easy with the mistakes being made and came past both without breaking sweat. A fan of either club might have thought is close and tense, but reality for the neutral was different.
-
As a complete neutral, it’s Sheffields to lose. 53-37ish? Hope I am wrong and it comes down to the last bend of heat 15.
-
Come on it was never in doubt. The track had slickened off and although Howarth stopped them getting maximums, he was never going to bother them when it mattered. There was little to no jeapody for Oxford with 8 points available to them in 13 and 15. I would have bet £100 on them getting the points, with only a tapes or EF stopping it from happening. Scunthorpe did well to keep it close with Boughen riding while injured and Oxford carrying Scott. But Masters and Nicholls far too good.
-
Looking forward to next week. Going to be a close final. Oxford have huge home advantage and haven’t been beaten at home this season. Dialled in track specialists and 13 and 15 almost a guarantee. But we do have riders capable of challenging Nicholls and Masters, albeit not as good as those two around Cowley.

I would certainly like to see Anders back but not Danny. He is at the twilight of his career and his scoring has already diminished this season. Lawson Z Cook Foord D Thompson Rowe top heat leader decent reserve
