  1. Interesting that Oxford don’t stream. Most clubs now do and it’s an extra revenue stream for club finances.
  2. But regardless of that, I wish him success in his career. He is capable of doing very well given the right guidance.
  3. You can be pissed off with your own performance, but we won the title. It was definitely time to put personal disappointments to one side and celebrate with the rest of the team, rather than sulk in the pits when the other 6 are chucking champagne about. Danny and Steve W had to go and drag him out when he should have been there for the team and fans rather than skulking. It certainly angered Danny Ford. And antics like that might have cost Drew a team place in this years lineup.
  4. Have always supported Drew Kemp, that was until the playoff final at KL where he acted terribly. A southern club were after him very recently but his demands were off the scale. I he has genuine issues, then perhaps he shouldn’t be riding? I wish him the best. He certainly has ability.
  5. I spoke to Simon Lambert on Wednesday about Kemp and he wasn’t very flattering in his opinion. Pretty sure a few home truths could be said in the next few weeks. Lambert is pretty straight talking.
  6. I spoke to Simon Lambert on Wednesday about Kemp and he wasn’t very flattering in his opinion.
  7. Fell in his first in a messy first bend, beaten by Douglas in his next, beaten by Jake Allen who got a bit of a flyer on his third, easily won heat 12 then beaten by an untouchable Douglas in heat 15. Not his best night but a decent 9 points.
  8. Sam Hagon is not coming to Plymouth. Riding Poland Tuesdays.
  9. Had a chat with Simon Lambert before the meeting tonight. I like the guy. Straight talking no BS. I mentioned the online chat he did and he said Kemp was offered a berth but turned it down. Thinks he is above himself and after hearing the rumours of Kemp at Poole last year thinks they are better off without him. I also heard another Championship team offered Kemp a place, but he wanted £10,000 signing on fee or two new bikes that were ready to race. The club passed. A shame as I quite liked Kemp but he ruined his reputation very badly after the shenanigans of the second leg of the playoff final last year when he acted appallingly after getting outwitted in heat 14 at Kings Lynn. He should have taken his defeat in that heat in good grace and celebrated with the team. Instead he had to be dragged out to the center green. Totally pissed off Danny Ford at the time.
  10. Well done to Ryan Douglas a class above everyone else tonight. Though Ben Cook might have had a sniff in heat 15 but no, Douglas powered from the gate and was gone. Punched the air when crossing the line. ‘Scunthorpe put up a very decent fight, with Simon Lambert having his best ever meeting at Poole. Heat 4 was a complete mess though with Ben Cook falling in a race he would normally have won and a normal 5-1 from the Cooks turned into a 2-4 which set the tone for the first half of the meeting. Eventually Pirates got the upper hand and pulled away but it wasn’t easy. Douglas could have had 15 rides and would have been unbeaten.
  11. Not sure I would have chosen Sedgmen as a guest and perhaps would have preferred rr but an incident could stuff us so see the reasoning. Get well soon Lawson, you are needed! A glorious day in Poole. Patio doors open at 8.30. Hopefully the track won’t be too wet at the start of the meeting and will be regularly watered throughout the meeting!
  12. Turner looks like he could be a decent rider given the chance. Trigger is a bit like Nathan Ablitt and raw. What about Sam Hagon? Has he been picked up?
  13. Only idiots and morons would expect more from Ben Cook in his first season in the top flight. He has big potential. Anyone with knowledge of the sport can spot the talent a mile away.
  14. Big crash for Richard Lawson in heat 15 at Leicester.
  15. I it wasn’t for the Pole this would be a snooze fest.
  16. Jesus Christ the cameras completely missed the passing!
  17. First Eurosport meeting of the season so teething probs. Main camera doesn’t seem high enough. No one for Kelvin to share commentary with. As for the racing, typical Leicester. Very small crowd but the football team are playing tonight on tv. That would have cost a lot of customers.
  18. The way Gorzow we’re celebrating when it was called says they get the points.
  19. It’s not going to be a 60+ scoreline. I remember fans saying we would rip Plymouth a new one and it was 45-45. Pirates should win this with relative ease but 51-39 is more realistic. And staying away as meetings are too easy brings about clubs folding. As Poole are one of the strongest, if you don’t support them against teams like Scunthorpe, you will only go one or two times a season!
  20. That’s a fairly weak lineup there. Douglas is good at Poole and Mountain at reserve should bang in a few points, but struggling to see how Scunthorpe can keep this one close.
