Belle Vue -V- Leicester POF
Steve Shovlar replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fricke was red hot around there when he was number one. But he has lost it and is very inconsistent in the U.K. A number one should be first in the queue to ride heat 15 but Lawson and Douglas volunteered. -

Yes and he will miss the Championship final regardless of how he feels. But a week Wednesday is the first leg of the KO Cup and if he feels fine, then there’s nothing to stop him. But only Ben can make that call. A few years ago there was no concussion protocol, so it’s a good thing that there now is, to stop riders returning too early and being a risk to themselves and others. -

All over. The rain killed the final. As soon as it arrived it was one way traffic. For Masters and Fricke to refuse to ride in heat 15 speaks volumes. -

But as the track has become sodden the home riders feel safer on it than riders who only ride it a couple of times a year. BV were always clear favourites. The Champions were always coming from the northern semi. -

Fricke was number one here. Sam Hagon has done a more impressive job tonight. -

All over. The rain has wrecked the meeting and given BV a massive advantage going into the second leg. In fact it’s all over. No chance for Leicester to pull back 18 points. -

Fricke has been terrible, considering the amount of racing he has done around BV. -

Belle Vue going to end up about 16 points clear. 13 and 15 nailed on 5-1’s. -

Track is now unraceable. Riders filled in and wobbling, unless you are Bewley and Kurtz. As a neutral I want riders to remain safe, especially with two Pirates racing tonight. -

Raining heavily. Heat ten. Time to call it off. -

Who is to say Ben shouldn’t ride if he feels absolutely fine? There are trophies to win and if he is feeling no after effects, then he should be able to ride for his club. -

Forecast shows it dry for most of the day from the next hour. Radar shows last of rain passing through. https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar -

Well I guess that’s the best we could really do. Danny needs to improve from recent form. Bomber a fair replacement for Ben at home. Just like the premier league, the playoffs are being affected by injuries. The injury to Ben couldn’t have come at a worse time and clearly affects us. Think it’s the first time he has been out since joining us. Can only do the best we can and hope it’s enough. Best of luck to Danny and Bomber. -
So what actually happened? Did he clip the rider in front? clip fence? High sided?

The seizure is more than likely the body responding from being knocked out. Brain and body not as one. I passed out 20 years ago from a knock and my wife said she was very worried as my body was jerking about all over the place. Once I had come around I was fine and had no idea what had happened. Looks scary to witnesses. Found the rolling pin in the drawer with blood on it the next day.

Rather BV in the final than Sheffield simply due to the track. One the best in the country, the other a bit of a death trap. Will be very easy for BV in the final.
