  1. While Basso is young, Vissing is in the twilight of his career. Both Ben, and especially Zach, are young riders learning their way. Vissing isn’t as good as he was (though still a very decent rider) It will be interesting to see who is the better rider in a couple of years time between the Cooks and Basso. I expected Ben Basso to have a Stellar rise last year but it failed to materialise. Perhaps it was a year of consolidation. Will Basso have a career path of Nikolai Klindt or Nicki Pedersen? I don’t expect either of the Cooks to have such a career but both could make solid heat leaders in both the Championship and Premier league.
  2. Noticeable how good the Cook pairing have become. Ben Cook has come on leaps and bounds and is now a proper heat leader. Just seems to improve week on week. Zach is being dragged along and also striding forward. Both riding in the Premier helps no end. To be honest I expected Redcar to come out fighting but they were never given the opportunity. Hume and Bailey were no match for Cook and R/R tonight, and Edwards had a mare. Mulford is finding it as tough as Ablitt found it at Poole last season. Those that had Redcar as favourites for the league might have to re-assess. Glasgow look the strongest team but will they see off a Poole team in the final? Should be a thriller. Record viewing figures for BSN?
  3. Great effort from Ben Cook in heat 15. A big well done to Anders Rowe ending his u21 round in third place!
  4. Think Plymouth would have put up more of a fight. Very surprised just how easy this was, especially after Wednesday.
  5. Heat 11 was correct call. Worrall well past Edwards. Not like Doyle Zmarzlik. we must stop dropping points to ef’s.
  6. Gate four huge advantage. Redcars heatleaders will likely see them through.
  7. Rowe has done well so far this season. Done exactly what is expected of him. Adam though has tailed off after a bright start. Silly falls allowing points to slip, followed by tailed off on Wednesday don’t bode well. If he goes Plymouth will surely jump in for him.
  8. Entertaining meeting with Redcar doing as well as expected against an mis-firing Pirates team far from their best. Danny King doing exactly as expected. He was very fired up to prove a point and was class as ever. Wright backed him up well and one has to wonder why Charles Wright never made that extra step to be a top line rider. Has loads of ability. Steve Worrall far from happy about heat 15 when talking in the after meeting press conference. He said he had a badly damaged bike, no points money and the rider he thinks caused it wasn’t penalised and got points money. He said there was no room for three riders entering the bend. Not sure what his argument actually was but he wasn’t happy about the incident. Would have given a 12 point lead instead of 6. Ben Cook shows how good he is but had to use his brothers bike in heat 12 which gifted Wright a win. So all to play for on Saturday. Redcar clear favourites to progress to the final but Poole never give up and ride the Redcar track well. Looking forward to watching the stream.
  9. Looked from grandstand that Hume might have caused it. But just the angle we are sitting at.
  10. Good entertaining meeting but silly points thrown away by Pirates. Ben Cook riding brothers bike as lost compression, Kyle riding a lawn mower and Steve W falling while leading. But well done to Redcar. Their Poole track specialists did the biz and they really should now go through.
  11. Bloody boring Lindgren stole it. Rotten luck to Holder who had it stolen. Good news that Zmarzlik failed.
  12. Zmarzlik won’t need a second chance. Nailed on to win it. Ref choked, Holder very hard done by should Zmarzlik now steal it.
