  1. Trick didn’t make up the rules. But he was a more complete speedway rider than Zmarzlik has currently shown. And he won all those titles when the opposition was far, far tougher. As others have said, Zmarzlik gets an easy ride with others happy with second. Madsen laughing and joking on the podium when he should be gutted and very upset. Where’s the passion?
  2. No. It’s totally boring. I don’t care who wins it. There’s just no characters unless you think helium has a personality. How I wish for the days of Crump, Pedersen, Hancock, Gollob, Trick (who would more than likely eat Zmarzlik for breakfast)
  3. Utterly dire GP on what is meant to be a decent race track. Only decent race was the final but Zmarzlik just hasn’t got any real opposition. Turn the clock back 10-15 years ago and the event was far more competitive. Today it’s who can stop Zmarzlik, and the answer is no one. Especially as it’s so Polish based and raced on a tr5ck Zmarzlik knows like the back of his hands. Utterly, utterly boring to be honest and a real shame. I have always looked forwards to the GP series but frankly it’s hardly worth the time.
  4. How strange to say that when there were at least a couple of hundred there and a large noisy contingent on the third bend.
  5. Oxford were the better team last night with all three heat leaders on fire. In comparison Pirates were below par. Rarely a home team gates in virtually every one of the first seven heats but that was almost the case last night. Pirates managed to stem the flow from the half way stage but were never able to get proper heat advantages to pull it back. I very much doubt Oxford would be so dominant in a rematch, hopefully the playoff final when it would sell out in minutes against Poole.
  6. Just got back. Fair play to Oxford the three heat leaders were in peak form and we couldn’t live with them tonight. In fact a Poole rider didn’t actually beat an Oxford rider out of the gate until half way through the meeting. Worrall managed to pass Heeps in heat one, Lawson passed Atkins in heat 4, All with Oxford on 5-1’s. They had their setups right and were completely dialled in. Heat after heat saw Oxford first and second out of the starts. A big crowd tonight, swelled by a lot of Poole fans and the lure from locals of watching the champions. Couple of big talking points though. Heat 15 and a completely out of control Nicholls smashed into Lawson on the third bend. A desperate and out of control move which saw Lawson heading to the fence, and but for his skills would have taken a purler. Unusual for Nicholls to act in such a way. The ref should have red lighted the race but for some unfathomable reason allowed it to continue! The result would not have changed from an Oxford win but the manoeuvre would have been more suited to WWE. Nicholls went up to Lawson after the race to what looked like an apology. Hope Lawson accepted it as he isn’t one to forget. The other talking point is gate 4. Shocking disadvantage from this gate. Was the same last time we were here. Surely it needs to be fixed? Even Masters ran a last out of it.
  7. Not the most enjoy meeting with Oxfords heat leaders dominant out of the tapes. Poole didn't make one gate until midway through and its too little too late for us tonight. So far. Not quite over but Oxford firing well on their home track in front of very big crowd.
  8. Shame Laguta got injured. Was in real serious pain when interviewed. If I was a Lynn fan I think I would be disgusted. Some good racing tonight. Jorgensen has been the star and if Klindt gets a flyer there’s a chance. But Laguta just let his team down imo.
  9. RR for Jenkins. Though hopefully he announces his intention to ride.
  10. Jordan Jenkins withdrawn from the BV v Peterborough team after aggravating an injury.
  11. Looking forward to Wednesday night and the trip up to Oxford. No Pirates home meeting, meaning quite a few fans will make the two hour trip north. Poole ride Cowley quite well and this should be a very close meeting, perhaps going down to heat 15. Could it be a sell out? Certainly not a meeting to be missed. Weather is forecast to be mostly dry with the risk of an afternoon shower. Can Pirates maintain their unbeaten record? Masters and Nicholls will have other ideas. Bring it on!
  12. Thanks I missed that as watching the meeting relay on a bit fast forward as it was late.
  13. Just caught it on BSN and what a great meeting. Can’t understand why Worrall only had 4 rides and Roynon 4. Kyle under used. Havvy what’s going on? The tension was palpable and heat 15 blew a fuse. Looked like Wright gave Worrall no room on the last bend and was looking for it. Ref fell for it and justice done in a very exciting super heat. Great advert for the sport. No real losers tonight.
  14. Good luck tonight to the Pirates. I am only two hours away but in a big comp tomorrow so cant get over from Grasmere in the Lakes. Should be a thrilling meeting and quite close.
  15. Meidzinski is a league One second string rider at best. Better to sign Danny King or Charles Wright. But guess this Polish option is a cheap one.
  16. Yes I know but in his u24 rides he has only won one heat, third 8 times and last 8 times. All these Aussies heading for Poland rather than the U.K. will realise it’s better to come here to learn their trade. They are not superstars in the making.
  17. Maurice Brown? What the actual? An Aussie kid clearly miles out of his depth here. What’s the point? And why isn’t he at Berwick or Brum as a reserve?
  18. Crap GP, crap final. Please don’t return to this awful track. Even the fans know it’s dire as there were probably 3000 there at most.
  19. Bewley forgot to turn on his fuel tap by the look of it. Conked out at start.
