  1. They can’t do much worse than Glasgow. I hope the Bandits manage to put up a good fight. But they do look weak. Flint as heat leader shows their strength.
  2. The idea of the playoffs is for clubs to maximise their takings. Last year we all trooped over to KL for the second leg of the final and there were about 350 fans there. Neutral venues do not work.
  3. I stream it to my smart tv and use the remote control. Works perfectly. Can forward and reverse to watch a meeting in about 30 mins.
  4. He looked completely disinterested and was worse than Complin.
  5. Of course it’s not! Celebrating a win will annoy the losers. That’s how sport works. Losers have to suck it up. Without the emotion, sport is worthless. All fans suffer loses. Get over it and move on.
  6. So Poole fans are not meant to grin and celebrate when we win? Ridiculous! If course other fans don’t want to see Poole win. It’s a sport! Our victories won’t last forever and when we lose other fans will celebrate. It’s the same in all sports when one club dominate for a period.
  7. But Danyon always tries and never gives up. I would have him at Poole any day and was gutted when he was left out. Look at his attitude compared to Nowak.
  8. On Wednesday we welcome Berwick to Wimborne Road for a Championship fixture. Will they put up more of a fight that Glasgow did? Not sure they will to be honest. Forecast is for a strong WSW breeze and afternoon showers but it’s a fair way off yet. This was the Berwick lineup at Oxford last Wednesday. Guess it’s the same? 1. Rory Schlein 2. Jye Etheridge 3. Jonas Knudsen 4. Leon Flint 5. Thomas Jorgensen 6. Jacob Hook 7. Connor Coles Rory knows the best way around Poole, and Flint has had some very decent meetings last season down here. But Etheridge, Knudsen and Jorgensen,( if fit), need to really step up to keep it competitive. Berwick reserves are decent and might pick up some points. 54-36?
  9. Cabbage by name, cabbage between the ears.
  10. I don’t read Chris4gillians posts. I blocked him a couple of years ago. Anyway Poole’s first trophy of the season coming up. Then we have the KO Cup final against either Redcar of Scunthorpe. That will be tougher as both ride Wimborne Road well.
  11. It was a joke play on words which flew above the head of many. Nothing more. Basso, Brasso. One rides for Glasgow, the other polishes trophies. Know which one I would rather have. Looking forward to the second leg.
  12. I have his inane drivel blocked but took a peep. As I suspected. Didn’t disappoint.
  13. Just caught up with this meeting on BSN. And people have a pop at the Poole track? Howarth summed it up perfectly. No one wants to ride in heat 15, regardless of pay, as the track is bad. Got grippier as the meeting went on and was grippy at the start. Howarth said for some unknown reason the track staff worked on the track to make it as grippy as possible (not his exact words) It’s clear both Klindt and Laguta just want to get through the meeting unscathed regardless of whether they score or not. The track is dangerous. The whole surface needs taking off and shale put down. For some reason Kings Lynn want to race on clay and the riders are clearly struggling. It’s not those with the biggest gonads don’t have an issue, it’s unsafe as the way bikes are today makes riding them difficult to turn. Seems Kings Lynn want to have a different surface for the sake of it. Not in the best interests of the sport.
  14. I watched the meeting back last night on BSN. Yes, it was the utter trouncing I saw at the stadium. Track was very good, except for a rut which was quickly dealt with on the first bend. Racing wise it was dull, as Poole were completely dominant. From the start to the finish. An unfortunate emergency in the crowd gave the track staff to make the track ultra perfect, and the Glasgow team plenty of time to make all the adjustments they needed to get back into the meeting. They completely failed and it had absolutely nothing to do with changing setups. It was all to do with rider mentality and who wanted it. One team wanted it far, far more than the other and were operating at a completely different level. It had nothing to do with the race track. Once Poole were in front, they left Glasgow in their wake. Glasgow fans and others who were cheering on the Tigers moaned and groaned but they need look no further than the body language of the Glasgow team and manager. Beaten before a wheel had turned. For Poole fans there’s the old saying. When you’re Winning, you’re Grinning!
  15. All this talk about Poole being a crap track is utter garbage. If the racing was so poor there would be no one there. Yet Poole have the biggest crowds in the whole of the U.K. They wouldn’t turn up if it was follow the leader. Last night was an exception due to woeful opposition. Glasgow fans need to look no further than their team, rather than blame the Poole track. Wimborne Road produces excellent racing, but it needs two teams in the meeting. If Poole riders both gate over lesser opposition, what do people actually think will happen? Last night, heat after heat, Glasgow were found wanting out of the gate. People want passing but it needed the Glasgow riders to gate for the Poole riders to show how it’s done. Plenty of dirt on the outside but never really needed in anger as Pirates were away and gone. Pitiful Glasgow had no answer. It looked like they didn’t change their setups to suit the conditions after all having one ride. Remember Halifax coming to Swindon in around 1974 and it was something like 60-15. At Poole we normally get both.
  16. Thought the track was excellent. Just the right amount of water, no dust at all, plent of dirt as well for those that wanted to give it a blast. Perhaps Berwick will show Glasgow how it’s done next week? Don’t think they will do as badly, that’s for sure.
