While Poole’s track isn’t as good as the BV circuit, the racing would still be good and there would be a bigger crowd. If you want an atmosphere, hold it at Wimborne Road.

So on BSN tonight is was stated that if Brum make the playoffs, they are looking at bringing in a rider who would turn them into title favourites. So who are they talking to? And what rider could turn them into a team that could beat Poole over two legs? Not even Zmarzlik could manage that!

Agree. The two qualifiers should be in GB and/or Denmark/Sweden/CZ. If the GB round had been at Poole or BV we would have had a good/decent crowd. But it was played out in front of 200 people, including freebies/mechanics. Think the Poles wouldn’t have turned up even if the gates were wide open and a freebie. This comp is a dead duck.

Such a poor meeting with one decent heat so far. Berge is a third heat leader/second string in the Championship. Had a good meeting tonight but worthy of a place in the U.K? Doubt it. Chris Holder, Poole legend, shows how it’s done. Best heat of the night by Pirates own boy.

Speedway World Cup, poole.

This event has got to go down as the worst international event of all time. No crowd, no atmosphere, bald track, gate and go, really really rubbishe. 20 years ago Poole held this event and we had temporary stands, place was packed, fantastic atmosphere, high drama, brilliant racing, it had it all, except for the TeamGB win. Now we have this tripe. Interviewer has just said atmosphere is amazing. Effing bull crap.

I am watching the SWC at 6 then switching to this meeting. Is is possible in BSN to join it live and rewind to start, or do I have to wait for meeting to finish before starting it?

Refusing a test carries the same punishment of being tested positive. He’s stuffed with a long ban regardless.

Sensible early call not one hopeful forecast. Poor Neil left Long Eaton at 3 am this morning on National Express and is on his way. Hope he reads its off and can jump off the coach!

Of course it makes no difference now as the final is a much higher level and we don’t have a 4th rider to compete. If our top three bring their A Game, we could finish runners up. But the Aussie will have J Holder, Frick, Doyle and C Holder?

Clearly. Worrall rides in Poland every week and is a decent gater. Certainly a better bet than Ellis or Brennan. Brennan might be one for the future but has yet to show it. Lawson and Worrall normally have the beating of him most of the time. I think it’s a case of face fitting rather than common sense. Even Wright would be a better bet. But it’s all too late now and we are in the final anyway. The chances of winning are extremely slim but we could get a medal with a bit of luck. Our top three are good. Just needed one more. Poland on the other hand are going to be nigh on impossible to beat on their home circuit. They have a plethora of talent they can use. Zmarzlik, Magik, Kubera, Dudek, Kolodziej, Cerniak, in fact their B team will be good enough.

Brennan is nowhere near as good as Steve Worrall, Richard Lawson or even Harris. Take out Adam, replace with Worrall or Lawson, and keep Brennan as reserve. We are not going to win it but third is possible.

Brennan is a reserve/second string. No better at all. Charles Wright is not a gater, so no point. Lawson is fast and on form. Worrall rides in Poland and can gate. Better bets.

We re one top rider short of proper challenging for the title.
