  1. Well that was very enjoyable. Pirates made to work in the first half of the meeting before pulling away. Hans Andersen causing Steve Worrall to wag his finger due to Andersens blocking tactics. Later nearly fencing Zach with an over aggressive move on the first bend. Some of the Pirate lads struggling with setups at first before getting tuned in. Kyle had run two lasts and I would have taken him out of heat 8 for Rowe who really is riding well at the moment. But Havvy kept him in and out he popped for a good win. Lawson loving it and on superb form. Steve Worrall showing his liking with a superb cutback under Schlein for a paid win. Great three points and now onto Wimborne Road for the big one on Wednesday, live on BSN.
  2. Left the AFCB v Lorient match at Vitality half way through second half to get back for this. Don’t think I will miss much lots of subs and tippy tappy practice for West Ham next Saturday. Glad the rain has stayed away. Come on Pirates!
  3. I watched that meeting and Complin was good. Got stuck right in. In fact there was loads of passing in that one. There is rain all around Berwick today. Fingers crossed for everyone who has travelled it stays away.
  4. We have the clash of the two possibly strongest teams on Wednesday at Wimborne Road. Pirates have had the last two home meetings washed out due to this dreadful summer but the forecast is for a lovely dry sunny day. A very big crowd is expected and it’s live on BSN. Should be a thriller. Could this be this years final? A possibility. Oxford come as a team on good form and sit top of the table 7 points clear. Pirates are currently 10 points adrift in 4th with three meetings in hand at this time of writing and need to close the gap. Scott Nicholls always rides Wimborne Road well and Sam Masters is excellent. Lewis Kerr is no slouch either, though will he be riding? Cameron Heeps at reserve could be viewed as a trump card but his form at Poole is normally very poor. Will he do better this time around? Should be a thriller.
  5. You and I go back a long way and my instincts proved correct. Trying to score petty points over another poster when someone has been seriously injured is poor. I am not getting in some mud slinging argument on here with you.
  6. Knew as soon as I saw you post it would be some petty points scoring remark. You didn’t let me down.
  7. Question about the live stream on Bandits TV. I am out until about 7.30 tonight. Will Bandits TV allow me to view the stream after the meeting has finished. I don’t want to join the stream from around heat 6 and rewind incase I see the score. Will the stream be available after 9.30 so I can watch from the start, or does the stream have to be “live” for me to be able to watch it? It says when purchasing there is no on demand service.
  8. You think I am the only one that wants an update on the guys condition?
  9. Thought Edinburgh had changed their track to give them a bigger home advantage, but it backfired spectacularly. The Monarchs were all over the place while the Poole boys were passing for fun. Rowe in particular enjoyed it and Lawson said he loved the conditions. Gary Havelock said when interviewed, it doesn’t matter what Edinburgh do to the track because Poole will only ride it the once and won’t have pre conceived setups.
  10. Agree FD. An update would be appreciated on the cameraman.
  11. A shame the stream from last night is not available so we could show heat 2 and the incident which brought Roynon down. Has to go down as one of the very worst refereeing decisions of the year.
  12. Just went to find out if the guy is ok and recovering and found a load of twaddle about unions and Thatcher! So thought I would go to a more reliable source, the local paper, who I wrongly assumed would be running it as a headline. Nowt, nothing, ziltch. Which is surprising considering an air ambulance and an abandoned sports event would normally make the news in any region of the U.K.
  13. Completely understandable and would believe it would happen regardless of being in Scotland or England. We should imagine the police would want to speak to certain witnesses plus view the footage from BSN.
  14. Danny Ford has said, “Anyone who was watching the live stream like I was, it looked nasty. Hopefully Craig is okay as well as that cameraman, because it was quite nasty.” He added: “I’ve not seen anything like that (before) and that makes you reassess things. “Certified members of the press are allowed on the outer part of the track, so it makes you rethink our own situation, just to make sure we’re covered in every regard with regards to health and safety because these situations can cause irreparable damage to be honest.” https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/23703225.danny-ford-edinburgh-v-poole-pirates-abandonment/
  15. A bit stuffed losing Adam in his low average. If Complin is back from honeymoon he would probably be the ideal guest but if not Abblit or Joe Thompson?
  16. It’s at every motor sports stadium. Just because I mentioned it doesn’t mean I don’t hope the cameramen gets well soon. Hopefully we will wake up to good news in the morning.
  17. Don’t be ridiculous. I haven’t read a single comment on here which doesn’t agree the meeting should have been called off with everyone wishing the very best to the cameraman who was injured. Stop trying to make a comment to inflame something that isn’t there.
  18. If that’s the case he was standing behind the fence as I watched it fall forwards over the safety fence.
  19. There’s a notification waiver for all to read when entering a motorsports event, which says motorsports are dangerous you attend this meeting at your own risk.
  20. Seen most cameramen tin yellow vests standing on dog tracks at many stadiums taking photos over the air fences. As for air ambulances, I have called 999 3 in the last four years. They are used when it’s difficult for the ambulance due to distance to hospital or driving surface, or when there’s a rush to get the casualty to hospital. Let’s all hope it’s just precautionary and we all hear better news later this evening.
  21. Wasn’t the cameraman standing directly on the other side of the safety fence?
