  1. The crowds are very big for the playoffs as well, when there are no holiday makers.
  2. Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch all merge into one conurbation. AFC Bournemouth dominate as they are in the Premier League. Pirates do well considering. Success brings in the fans. Nearly 3000 last night. Should be another big crowd next Wednesday against Redcar, and will be packed on the following Sunday at home to Glasgow.
  3. If this is true then they should be banned from the stadium for life. I would call over security and point them out.
  4. Forecast for Scunthorpe on Friday is warm, and overcast. No rain.
  5. It certainly was and we were never going to get away with that in a month of Sundays. Ref was bound to award it. Lawson wasn’t close enough. Not a great deal of passing but kept tense for the bonus point, which went down to the wire due to Pirates dreadful performance at Cowley and a few incidents in tonight’s meeting. Ben Cooks EF when leading cost us the bonus but Scott Nicholls had bike problems. The roller in heat 13 for Masters was let go by the trainee ref, which the who grandstand saw. Sod’s Law as in the first running Poole were on a 5-1 out of the second bend when Nicholls fell. Never the same result in a rerun. A huge crowd there tonight showing Poole’s pulling power. Someone said there was only one turnstile? There are 6 in total to enter the stadium, all open. Masters and Nicholls showing their liking for Wimborne Road. But Oxford are a two man team and were easily beaten tonight. And Heeps will be back in the team come the playoffs meaning Atkins and Killeen at reserve. But congrats to Oxford in the bonus. Went to fine margins.
  6. Will admit racing for the neutral hasnt been great tonight. But in the stadium the atmosphere is great. Huge crowd. Still very close for the bonus. Both sides had bad luck with engine failures. Might be a golden heat.
  7. Seriously nothing like last night. I seriously think most of the posters on here are hoping for a gate and go meeting so they can say, told you so. If its a brilliant meeting it will be like the gobi desert on here.
  8. Very big crowd coming in. Track looks superb. Lots of dirt down out wide. In for a thriller on a perfect evening.
  9. Weathers set fair today. Oxford fans can travel down safe in the knowledge that speedway will take place tonight! Think this has the making of being a great meeting. Pirates weakened tonight at reserve but sure Ablitt will give it his best shot replacing Adam. Masters loves the Poole track and Nicholls always is exciting to watch around here. Pirates need to be on it from the start. Big crowd expected.
  10. So is there a super heat if it’s tied on aggregate for the bonus point?
  11. That’s a few older riders putting pressure on the younger ones. BSN not pulling punches. Not enough work done on the track earlier enough and it’s a half arsed effort from the Plymouth promotion. Be lucky to see most of them back next time. Bad bad Bad.
  12. No this is going to be off. What a farce. Hang your heads in shame.
  13. This just boils my P. FFS this is causing horrendous damage to Plymouth Speedway. The ref should make them ride of call it off. Negativity breeds through the riders with meeting delays.
  14. Lots of negative looking riders. Someone needs to get a grip and tell them to get out there.
  15. Get on with it, Track will improve. Grade it after 2 heats and racing will be good. Throttle goes both ways.
  16. Lots of standing around with folded arms. Ref should put two mins on….
  17. Actually there was the hole issue at Poole that suddenly appeared on the apex of the 3/4 bend a couple of years ago and Shclein got his bike, rode the track and the meeting went on.
  18. Riders looking unhappy. Crowd is in. Walking the track and calling it off would P off the final few fans. Hope they ride for the clubs sake.
  19. Not sure of atmosphere to match. Belle Vue seemed silent last night.
