  1. It was a very nasty tumble for Vinnie and was surprised he walked away. There’s only so many times you can have a crash without some type of injury. Quite a loss considering the form he showing last night.
  2. Excellent meeting tonight on a very good track with no dust until the final couple of heats. Extremely well watered with plenty of dirt made for a trick first few heats but after about heat 4 the track produced some very good races. A special mention for a couple of riders who were quite excellent. Vinnie Foord who really should have captured third place but dropped points in a nasty fall with a do or die swoop in his last down the back straight. He flipped and went cartwheeling into the fence and was lucky to walk away. Some of his passing was excellent and if he could gate we would have a very good up and coming young rider. Also worthy of a mention is Sonny Springer, the youngest rider on show tonight. He had never ridden the track before but he won his last two races and looked fast and stylish. A rider to look out for. The meeting went down to a runoff between Jake Mulford who had been excellent tonight, and only beaten by Foord, as was Sam Hagon who also only dropped a point to Foord. But the runoff was decided down the back straight of lap one when Hagon got his head in front and after that it was never in doubt. The U21 British Champ can now add the NLRC title to his honors. Well done to Mulford for a battling performance. A good nights entertainment.
  3. Yes the racing was good tonight. Just a shame the promotion forgot to open the gates.
  4. Good race heat 13 but the crowd….gods waiting room. Dont they know how to cheer? Chalk and cheese to Poole’s grandstand where the roof would have come off. And a terrible crowd there. A few hundred?
  5. The whole problem with the Polish top flight this season is Lublin are so much better than every other team the season is a waste of time competition wise. No team should be allowed to build a team so dominant that they basically clean up everywhere. Polish authorities need a rethink to balance out the teams to make the league more of a spectacle IMO.
  6. Watched this but not great racing. Harris worth the admission fee alone but a lot of all over by first bend. Kemps ride against Harris was excellent. He is so hot and cold. A good rider in there somewhere trying to get out. As for the heat 15 exclusion, I agree with ref that Harris had to go. He brushed Kemps foot with his dirt deflector, unbalancing Kemp. Tough call but correct. Result never in doubt from heat 11. Berwick had no real answer to Harris and Worrall.
  7. The stadium was left to the council as a gift that it would always be a sporting stadium. If the council wanted to build houses on the land, Osbourne would be given the boot.
  8. Ref called it right. Nicholls moved again.
  9. The super heat absolutely favours the home side. If an away team gets a draw, two points away, one for the home side. A team like Oxford are not going to drop many points at home in heats 13 and 15. And if there’s a super heat it’s those two again. Plus they had pick of the gates in the super heat! A good meeting though and a point for the Pirates.
  10. We didn’t lose. We drew. And Brennan was ahead of Masters exiting bend two. Masters didn’t need to go down. Pro dive.
  11. Good draw for the weakened Pirates. Hopefully we get to go back there again this season.
  12. In heat 14 we were very unlucky. Perfect gate by Zach called back, rerun gated again Heeps crashed and bike hit Foord. Third rerun Boughen gates. No luck there at all. What is clear is that Poole are a better team than Oxford and the Cheetahs are no threat this season. Entertaining evenings entertainment and BSN are bloody brilliant.
  13. Great effort in the superheat first run. Masters should have been chucked out as Brennan as through but a point is a great result.
  14. Cant compete in heat 13. Same in heat 15? Would bet on it.
  15. Sorry it was on BSN. Looked smaller than this evening.
  16. Hook gets a roller in heat 8 and benefits. Ref does nothing. Should have been called back.
  17. The crowd on Eurosport last week in the call off looked very poor.
  18. Foord is certainly a step up from Max Perry and they are almost the same age. We are missing Tobias. Guest Thompson is woeful. Trouble is Oxfords top two are untouchable on this form. Much bigger crowd tonight than the top flight Spires got last meeting.
  19. Currently Pirates got no answer to Nicholls and Masters. A straight ahead. 13 and 15 look ominous.
  20. Looking at the teams and the home advantage, Poole will be doing well to get within 8-10 points. Certainly missing Tobias and Hook doing better than Atkins so far. Looks a decent crowd and the track needs water.
