  1. Well I am woke. As are most decent people. It means being aware, especially of social problems such as racism and inequality, injustice, sexism, and denial of LGBT rights. If you don’t agree with that you are a not a very nice person, to put it mildly.
  2. Very entertaining and good GP after the first set of races. Winner never in doubt though as Zmarzlik is currently head and shoulders better than any other rider. No real rival.
  3. B*ll*cks! He has been our hidden trump card and knocking in scores way above expectations. Not able to replace him with anything like his scoring prowess. Get well Soon Tobias. We need you back ASAP!
  4. I shall attend. Good fun trying to pick out which ones have a future and which will fall by the wayside. Decent value as well.
  5. It’s not a monthly pass. It’s a season pass with payment split into 4 months by direct debit.
  6. I am paying £49 a month for 4 months. Certainly wouldn’t splash £200 in one lump sum.
  7. Great final. Home advantage wins it but got to prefer Bewley over Woffinden. Brennan is going to Cardiff!
  8. Brennan is coming on as a top Brit this season. No wonder Poole had to change their team about to accolade him this season. He looks the part, has very good passing ability and has served his apprenticeship. Just needs to hone his talent over the next couple of seasons and will be joining Lambert and Bewley as a top Brit. A very tough final for him right now though. Let’s see what he can do against three very tough riders.
  9. Brennan has a tough ask to beat Harris for Cardiff. Rather Tom than Chris who is in the twilight of his career but it doesn’t work like that.
  10. Sod’s Law Woffinden will reel off two wins and win it!
  11. Tom Brennan over Woffinden, any day of the week. Woffinden’s light has gone out. Had a good career but his time has passed.
  12. Well rode Anders Rowe. Very good effort all night.
  13. Shocking work from the cameraman. Clueless what to follow.
  14. Crap racing so far. Six heats and gate and go. Lambert couldn’t do anything from last place. Hope it improves.
  15. Houston we have a problem. The 8 hour motorbike endurance race is not due to end until well after 8pm, as of time of typing this there were 5 hours 15 minutes still left to run on the race. British Final is due to start broadcasting at 7pm. Not going to happen. Again some endurance race looks like it’s going to chase the speedway off Eurosport.
  16. So is the meeting being streamed? No way many Poole fans can get to Workington for 3pm on a Saturday. Happy to pay the 11.99 to watch the meeting. Can’t seem to find the streaming service on the official site. Can someone point me to it please.
  17. There’s no denying the track last night was the worst it has been for a very long time. Though a question why they made it so slick has to be asked. The Poole riders were certainly caught out with their setups. It wasn’t dangerous. It just wasn’t conducive to good racing and there was little to blast around the boards. A shame as the crowd was decent and we now have no meeting for a month.
  18. Guess who Birmingham asked to guest for them tomorrow at Ipswich? Yep. Zach Cook. And guess what he said. F**K off!
  19. The racing this year has been excellent but certainly not tonight. When. Rider like Brennan can’t make a move on Edwards you know something has gone wrong with track prep.
  20. And happy to be, rather a close meeting than a one sided affair. But seriously what the hell track was that? Completely different to normal. Arrived to see most of the dirt gone and it looked slick with very little in the way of dirt in the outside. The rider interviews after the meeting confirmed this as they all said they were completely caught out by the track and it being prepared nothing like normal. Why on earth did that happen? Surely a track should be prepared the same every week to the riders liking? Took Poole until half way through the match to get going and it should have been won far earlier than heat 15 but we got there in the end. Take a bow Jason Edwards that was the best I and many other have ever seen him ride and when he gated in heat 15 with Wright at the back I expected Wright to pick off a Pirate to cause a golden heat. Lawsons bike going pop in heat 13 caused it to come down to the last but that was the worst I have seen Pirates ride this year. As for our new signing Vinnie Ford, well it was an improvement on his predecessor and he battled all night. Pirates go top. No home meeting now for over a month.
