  1. Yes has to be. But whoever comes in will struggle. Good win for Pirates in an entertaining meeting.
  2. Whoops Barker let the cat out if the bag with the Pirates team change.
  3. Ordered the stream. Same quality as at Poole so worth the £11.99 for those unable to make the journey down. Can’t see anything here other than a comfortable Poole win. Hopefully the racing will be entertaining enough.
  4. That is sad news. Always had a chat with Graham when I bumped into him. R.l.P
  5. Missed opportunity to raise some funds for the club. No one would begrudge paying a pound for parking.
  6. Well just got back a late finish but the large crowd remained until the end. First and foremost very nasty crashes for Kerr and especially Bastian Borke, who clipped the back wheel of his team mate and smashed into the back straight fence at full speed. He was on the track for a good 30 minutes before being moved carefully onto a stretcher and off to hospital. Bastian was having a very good meeting and it was such a shame it ended as it did. Kerr crashed in almost the same spot but was able to walk away after some attention. Wishing both riders a speedy recovery.
  7. Ambulance from Poole hospital is here and they are working on Bastian to lift him onto stretcher. Now done should be in ambulance soon. Obviously taking their time.
  8. Ambulance has been summoned from Poole hospital to take Bastian. Medics looking after his in situ on track. Not moving him.
  9. Medics still attending to Bastian on track. Taking their time. Speedy recovery he has ridden great tonight. Not important but meeting might not finish.
  10. Nasty crash forBorke. Ambulance on track with medics. High sided and hit fence down back straight
  11. No wonder there is about 400 there with this dirge served up. Appalling “racing”.
  12. Craig Cook just took a purler. Track is bad. Grip then slick. Very patchy. Edit. Just seen Rob B’s post. Agree.
  13. Nasty crash for Bewley. Holding his wrist into medical room.
  14. Fogo Unia Leszno decided to contract a new player. Australian Ben Cook was loaned to the Bulls team from Polonia Piła. The 26-year-old competitor may be a somewhat anonymous figure for some fans in Poland, because he has not raced in our country yet. However, he successfully competes in the British league, where he represents Belle Vue Aces in the Premiership and Poole Pirates in the Championship (second level of the competition). In January, he took a good sixth place in the Australian individual championship, distancing himself from Chris Holder, Josh Pickering, Sam Masters and Ryan Douglas in the classification. Interestingly, Ben Cook has a two-year younger brother - Zach, who in 2022 competed in the U-24 Ekstraliga for KS Toruń and appeared in Apator's match squad three times for PGE Ekstraliga matches. Ben Cook in Fogo Unia Leszno can replace the injured Janusz Kołodziej, but also, for example, the poorly performing Bartosz Smektała. On Friday, the Bulls will host the Polish champion - Orlen Oil Motor Lublin. Cook will not play in this match yet. The Australian is scheduled to appear in Leszno next week. The meeting starts at 18:00. Live coverage on WP SportoweFakty.
  15. I hope Covatti is riding tomorrow. Plymouth need to be at full strength. 53-37ish. Will do better than Workington.
  16. I hope not. We as paying fans want to see competitive racing and Plymouth to put out the best lineup they can. Covatti returning at Poole would likely mean a very small points haul. Rather a guest who can at least put up a fight.
  17. Expected a much tighter meeting but when it came to it, Pirates just blew the comets away. The visitors had no answer and apart from Batchelor were pretty woeful. Craig Cook was his usual ignorant self in the pits before the meeting, ignoring Poole fans who were congratulating him on his scoring at Plymouth the night before with grunts. Glad I didn’t approach him. Tate Z on the other hand was chatty and the exact opposite. Seems a likeable lad and I hope he goes far in the sport. Tried all night but was a baptism of fire for him and Vuolas on their first visits. Only Batchelor can hold his head high. The rest were well beaten. Plymouth next week in the BSN. Can’t believe they can be any worse. Hearing Covatti is back for it. Hope they can put up a better fight.
