Seems Vinny Ford has crashed on parade lap and wrecked the airfence! Throttle stuck open catapulting Foord into fence with bike flying in the air. Foord bruised but ok. -

Watching the stream later. £11.99 well worth it. All clubs should have this facility. -
They wouldn’t sack him as he is an up and coming rider who would be picked up by a rival club straight away. Threats from different countries should not allow federation rules to be broken, regardless of money. His Polish team would have known about the clash at the start of the season. As a Brit, a 30 day ban should be the order of the day for withholding his services. Harsh but stops young riders chasing the money rather than the team he should be riding for.
-
Perhaps it’s because Tom signed for his Polish club first? Other than that the Championship fixture should come first. We can’t cover for him properly so it could well be points given away.
-
How does that work out? Is this Redcar meeting re-arranged? As a Brit, this fixture should take precedent over the Polish league.

Speedway of Nations 2024

We could all see with our own eyes. No need to make anything up. It may have seemed full to you compared to a league meeting, but compare it to the 2016 meeting, where the back straight was a sea of heads. Even in 2021 there were far more on the back straight. If you don’t believe me, check out the videos on YouTube. If you say it was sold out, then the club offered less tickets for sale for the back straight. The even itself was very well run in very testing conditions, which is not the fault of BV. The final was excellent with some great races. And the best result. -

Hope it doesn’t affect the clubs viability. That stand would have cost tens of thousands. -

Of course they can. They can charge what they like when they like. No different from buying a plane flight ticket, which varies every time you log on and look. My mate paid £245 and a week later I got the seat next to him for £85. Way it goes. -

No it wasn’t Rob. It was half empty. I have seen the back straight full with a sea of heads. Tonight everyone was spaced out. -

No Rob. They would have filled empty seats which generate zero money. Rather bums on seats for £30 than a seat sitting empty. The club knew the attendance was dire but didn’t go pro-active to do something about it last week or this. -

No more than 100 in the temp stand. Didn’t need it all all as the people in it could have been fitted in the back straight. -

Because the biggest stand was empty, and the back straight was over half empty, plus the main stand was far from full. Loads of empty seats at the end. Poor crowd Rob and you know it. Racing was very good as expected. -

No wonder it was empty. £30 or family of three for £60 would have been fair. -

Just a shame no one saw it. Lessons have to be learnt here. Should have been packed rather than a 3rd full. -

Think GB are more or less out of it already. Give the youngster some experience. Not likely to trouble the scorers but neither is Bewley the way he is riding. -

Bewley needs to be dropped. Give Brennan a chance can’t do any worse. -

Poole held the World Cup in 2004. They had temp stands on three and four. The place was absolutely packed to the rafters. Racing was sensational. (The Havvy v Polish rider one of the many highlights) BV have a great track but Manchester is not a hotbed of speedway and no one would go there out of choice. -

Trick likes GB. That puts the moccas on us! Only about 100 people in that big temp stand. Embarrassing. Such a small crowd. Get about as many at a Poole league meeting. Last time at BV surely.
