  1. Just been announced if weather looking dodgy then the second leg is next Thursday for playoff final.
  2. Track is excellent. Brilliant race with King Worrall. Well done Trackerman!
  3. Of course it is. It’s Rob McCaffrey with his usual anti Poole diatribes. He despises us and his past rants in the Premier section were quite amusing but for the fact he meant every word. No one on this thread or any other Poole thread has been boasting, being intolerable, or anything else for that matter. A bit of banter, well it is a sport, but little else. Heading down shortly. Will Chuck up some clips of track/pits/parade etc. later on my Twitter. @steveshovlar
  4. Friday looks a dry day after early morning rain. A risk of a few showers in the morning to leave a dry afternoon and evening. Season should be done and dusted by 10pm Friday.
  5. If Basso is in the 2022 team, and clearly all Pirates fans want it to be so, then missing a handful of meetings is a small price to pay for what could be a heat leader on a reserve average.
  6. DVD isn’t even HD, and we are on 4K and now 8K TVs are coming out. Everything is online today. No physical copy ever required. Perhaps it should be made available to download in 4k.
  7. BBC forecast for Thursday in Glasgow was rain all day. If they move it to Sunday, which is showing dry, then Poole next Monday, also forecast dry, could be a go-er, albeit we head into November.
  8. Forecast tomorrow is ok and it should go ahead with no issues. Rain in the morning clearing to leave a dry day lunchtime onwards.
  9. Zaine Kennedy? Had about 2 decent rides in 20 around Poole. Fact out front but nowhere if he misses it. Good luck to him though.
  10. Poole reserve guest is fine, though a real shame Stefan Neilsen got so badly injured it ruled him out for the season. Never properly replace his scoring potential with guests.
  11. Forecast for Poole on Fridays isn’t bad. Risk of a few afternoon showers and a dry evening. Long way off yet though.
  12. Now entering the final week of the season, we have the second leg of the KO Cup final on Wednesday. Pirates have a 5 point lead from the first leg and are favourites to lift the cup. At the moment a dry day is forecast. As Poole have been rock solid at home so far this season, it’s going to take a monumental effort from the Monarchs to turn this one around. Highly unlikely but not impossible. Will they do it? I don’t think so. 50-40. Thoughts?
  13. Premier inn is 5 mins in the car. https://maps.apple.com/place?q=Premier Inn Poole Centre - Holes Bay&ll=50.725266%2C-1.991289&auid=11602194221114231704&lsp=9902&address=Holes Bay Road%2C Poole%2C BH15 2BD%2C England
  14. It’s a competition. Nothing patronising. Best two teams are in the final. Let the best team win.
  15. Current forecast shows risk of a few light shows on Tuesday pm in Glasgow area. Currently Not enough to stop a meeting.
  16. Danyon Hume has had a very good season and I would welcome him back next year. Think there still a fair bit of improvement left in him and he has a good rapport with the Poole fans. He ran a silly last in his second ride when leading Thompson for 3 3/4 laps, and the tapes in his first was frustrating. Came good in the end though. As for Ben Basso, a performance like today has been on the cards for some time. Certainly looks like a rider with a big future ahead of him.
  17. The whole meeting came across as the pirates wanting it more. Not once during the meeting did I feel Pirates would allow any type of lead. The silly 5-0 even seemed to fire us up more.
