  1. Lawson Thomsen Cook Rowe Kerr Starke whipping boy until Cairns.
  2. Mikkel Andersen. https://www.fim-awards.com/en/mikkel-andersen
  3. If Foord is elsewhere and it’s management decision, then I just hope the rider coming in lives up to the potential that Vinnie has. Not only is Foord a huge fans favourite on and off the track, we can all see the raw talent he has and he’s a Brit on top of that. Let’s hope the rumours of Starke are just that. No offence to Paul Starke but we know his level and he’s been on a downward trajectory for the last few seasons while Foord is only going one way. Of course we have to build up to 40 points but I for one would rather be a point short at 39 than 39.95 with Starke.
  4. I just hope the rider replacing Foord is as exciting and has as much potential. Think Poole have made an error dropping Foord, who is clearly a fans favourite. Pirates loss is Workington gain.
  5. Sheffield would run riot if those two teams met.
  6. They might be used against Sheffield, but if by some fluke we get to next round and draw a club one of these two rides for. We would have to use guests who haven’t probably ridden Wimborne Road for a few seasons, if ever. is it just Poole invited to this comp? What if Cheetahs and drawn against Spires? Perhaps they could use guests who haven’t from the other team in heats they are not used.
  7. Not sure I like the Premier KO Cup idea. Means dropping two/three Pirates specifically for guests.
  8. Chris Harris is definitely not joining Poole in 2025. The person likely to be coming has an interesting body suit.
  9. Yes he turned left but in the video from the first bend he turned right. 😄 So what and where did Dan Bewley speak/write about the crash with Scott/Foord?
  10. Why would you choose Starke over Foord?
  11. Of course he did nothing wrong. The crash with Jody Scott was completely Scott’s fault, turning right into Foord before the start line!
  12. It was also his first time at most of the tracks. Next season he will have a better idea of track shapes and which sprockets to use etc. Would be a shame to see him at another club.
  13. What better rider is there with potential in the Championship under a 4.41 average? That’s what auto correct does when you miss out a `p’ while typing! 😆
  14. Of course I meant the playoff finals. Rider of the playoff finals and KO Cup Finals. Would resign him straight away to be honest but if we release him he will soon be picked up elsewhere. He also has a very good report with the Pirate supporters and his donuts are very entertaining to get the crowd up.
  15. Gavan is one of those posters always in a rage. And hasn’t a clue of Tobias scoring as you have provided.
  16. I would definitely have Tobias back. His slump coincided with his injuries and once back to fitness his scoring improved. He was the rider of the playoffs and KO Cup imo. 1. Richard Lawson 2. Tobias Thomsen 3. Zach Cook 4. Anders Rowe 5. Lewis Kerr 6. Vinnie Ford 7. William Cairns. Leave it to someone else to tell me it’s over 39.
  17. Well it was as expected but a big crowd there again tonight. Oxford were well received and roundly applauded by the Poole fans, right down to Peter Schreok and Luke Killeen. Let no one say Poole fans are unsporting. Meeting itself was as expected but frustrating when in a clear 5-1 when Gilkes fell on bend three. Tried to clear but ref too fast on the red button. In the rerun Boughen, who had done sweet eff all tailed off, gated and beat Lawson. Now, this is just ridiculous. A rider 100 metres behind in his first two rides, beating our number one. Something seriously wrong here. And guess what, in his last ride he was tailed off at the back again. Never seen anything like it. Either he is doing it on purpose or there’s a far deeper issue. If he rode for Poole he wouldn’t get away with this. Ben Cook was interviewed at the end and said he was giving up Championship speedway as he aims to climb higher in the sport. Said he will still be here every week next year as living at Middlos. Was told it could well be 39 points limit next season.
  18. Will you please stop posting irrelevant images. This is a speedway forum not a kindergarten.
  19. It’s clear from the video evidence Vinnie Foord wasn’t at fault for either incident at Poole. In heat two he was up the inside of Killeen. Killeen then attempted to go around Vinnie but went for a gap that wasn’t there. And his front wheel went through Vinnies footrest, showing he was half a bike down at the time of the collision. As for the crash with Jody Scott, it’s clear Vinnie got up the inside of Scott off the 4th bend and Scott panicked, turned into Foord crossing the start line, causing the crash. Ford’s line never changed as can be seen in the BSN footage. Scott should have been excluded. Think that clears everything up concisely so time to lock this ridiculous thread.
  20. This really is a vile thread. The lad is learning and is no doubt going to be a very good rider. The OP should be ashamed of himself for starting such an awful thread.
  21. Speedway is a £10 sport. Yes. In 1977. Speedway is certainly not overpriced.
  22. Waving a white flag means surrender, given up, defeated. That’s what r/r signifies. A team should never give up. Go down fighting.
  23. I hope they use a guest rather than r/r, which would mean an absolute trouncing. Using r/r is pretty disrespectful and waives a big white flag.
  24. I wouldn’t mind seeing Anders Rowe back at Poole. Plenty of potential. Also Dan Thompson is coming on and could be decent. We need to sign riders capable of improvement on their starting average. Both Vinnie Foord and Tobias Thomsen have done well and it would be great to get them both back. Lawson Rowe Z Cook Foord Thomsen Plus two.
