  1. I don't like blaming the track for a heavy defeat because it sounds like excuses but that prep did bring back (bad) memories of several visits during our EL days. Agree that it did separate the men from the boys! Danny was in another class from the rest and how good was it to see. Cam also got stuck in, shame Gino got in his way in heat 3 as I think that would have developed into a good race. Cap'n Hawkins back a meeting or two too soon? Nico showed a few glimpses of what he's capable of. Stefs machinery? Looked like he was riding Steve Johnstons lawn mower! Gino disappointing and Rohan shocking. Didn't look like a possible league winning outfit but luckily still early days. On the other hand the Panthers looked well up for it, probably on a high after their win at Rye House. Well done to them.
  2. Well done Somerset. Good luck in the final. Hope Gino and Pontus are both ok.
  3. Good luck for the future Schrammy. Always popular at Ipswich, even when riding for the opposition. You'll be missed.
  4. This isn't the right plaice for this discussion. Good opening meeting for the team, really couldn't call it before the meeting but really happy with the result.
  5. Interesting. Is this a 3 way competition? Seeing as Ipswich is the most easterly of those. Could be a good start to the season!
  6. I have never been so uninterested in a meeting as I am this one tonight. Its as if a bunch of riders are just using our name, just so glad nothing is at stake. Stay safe Morten and Cam (and everybody else). Its safe to say I won't be following updates. Lol.
  7. Is this the injury that Ritchie could have made worse by jumping up and clearing the track while Edinburgh were on a 5-1? Maybe next time he'll stay down for a re-run. He did collapse onto the centre green afterwards.
  8. Is jamlad even an Ipswich fan? The name isn't familiar to me.
  9. Congratulations to Newcastle. Should have been a fantastic close run meeting, but it wasn't to be. Hope the injured lads are soon back on track.
  10. Well done on the win Somerset. One of those results you'd have been happy with on a normal occasion, but so disappointed in the end. Great effort lads.
  11. Lol. Is that what all the banter on twitter was about?
  12. To be honest, the fans were saying ignore Cook let him go and concentrate on beating the rest of them, which exactly what happened. This has been done to death now, but the one thing still niggling me is the reluctance to say well done to Ipswich for winning. We have pages on here and on the Edinburgh/Ippo thread from Ipswich fans praising Cook and congratulating Edinburgh on a great win at Armadale but nothing in return. Makes me sad.
  13. Lol. I trust non Suffolk folk are ok just the way we are then?
  14. You've arrived at the party too late Cyclone, we've discussed and moved on now!
  15. I've finished work for the day now, so thank you for the banter to fill up a few boring hours sat alone in a quiet reception! I hope you'll return to Foxhall again soon Scotsman. If you do, take my advice and get your chips from the new outlets near the second bend. Much nicer, and the fish and chips for a fiver are delish.
  16. I hope your team members don't read this forum. On one hand one of them equalled (yes, equalled ) the track record, but the rest of them struggled to stay on their bikes!! If I was Tabaka, or even Fricke, I'd feel insulted!
  17. I enjoy reading updates from different sources, especially when the 2 updates completely contradict each other. It shows how things are seen from different track angles, opinions and of course bias. Which leads to interesting banter on forum pages!!!
  18. Fair point and sensible too. But it was a genuine question. Until this season Craig Cook was a rider I'd not really had an opinion on one way or another and I am honestly unaware of his strengths as a team rider. Maybe I should have asked if Thursday was just a one-off performance. I have to say I was very impressed by Tabaka on Thursday. I really think given the better gate he could have nabbed that all important point in heat 15.
  19. Genuine question...Is Cook normally a team player? On Thursday his main purpose appeared to be to get the better of Ben Barker, which showed from the scrappy original start of heat 1 right through to his post match tweet. Undoubtably a fantastic rider, but Ben is a team man through and through and I know who I'd rather have ride in my team.
  20. Sadly not a single simple "well done" So I'll say it. WELL DONE WITCHES. GREAT TEAM EFFORT
