PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE. Stop everyone winding each other up and insulting each other. People support different teams and have differing views but there is no need for insults. This is a thread for discussing POOLE SPEEDWAY. The word is speedway. Merry Chistmas everyone.

Let's be sure what people are thinking. Is it the Heat Leader list has been made up by a] All El promoters, b] The executive of the BSPA or c) Matt Ford? As the list has been made up should a) all promoters be able to approach riders to ask them to ride for their team b] be allocated riders by the BSPA as to who rides for who or c] something else?

Could we have a separate topic for Starman to give his views on things and for others to diagree To be honest I enjoy reading news and discussions BUT I do not enjoy ploughing through endless arguements as to what someone said or what a newspaper printed years ago. Speedway yes interesting, endless drivel no. Christmas is coming let's have some peace and interesting news and debate. Please.

Could someone say who is on the heat leaders list and who is not. It appears from this forum some people defiantly know the list.

Pete was such a nice guy. First met him at Weymouth. He knew speedway inside out and loved the sport. No doubt he will now be talking speedway with a long time Weymouth friend Lew Coffin. We were so lucky to have such men dedicated to our sport. PIP Pete.

Gaven. I am not talking of you or anyone in particular. I am just saying it's all a mess really that could be sorted by someone giving real guidence as to what is really happening.

The simple answer is none of the supporters know how the BSPA has decided how a team is made up. They say a maximum of 40.5 points. Fine this may be too high but it is clear. Then they say each team pick their reserves. A so called list is made up but I have not seen one published. Next they say no more than 3 heat leaders per team. No list is published. Stories go around that a heat leader is people with an average of over 6.5. People then question of did they get that average as a heat leader or second string. I can see where they are coming from BUT where are these rules and lists published. As far as I can see people are putting their own interpretation on these rules and some insist they are right. However, how do they know?

I agree there is a big problem. The question is did the owners of the clubs realise that so many riders would not ride here this year. When the points limit was announced all the owners started to build their teams. Some did not get riders they thought they would and others had a plan and used that as their starting point. I do not quite see what anyone thinks an owner should do. Maybe, the EL should be abolished and joined with the PL to make two leagues but what would happen to riders like Harris, Doyle, and a few more?

People are giving their opinions as to who is and who is a heat leader. However, the general public do not know who is on the list and who is not. I agree a published list would help dispel all speculation. However, I assume the owners of all clubs know this information. It also does not help for individuals saying he is on the list and he is not. They do not know.

I feel your statement is despicable. No matter what the truth of the situation There seems very little thought for a son about his father. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the replacement it did not alter the result. What I do notice however, it is the same people who are keeping this going. -

Fact. Poole won Coventry lost. Fact. Take Kennetts points out and bring up Coventry points in those races and Coventry still lose by 12. Get over it Poole in the final and Coventry are not. With regard to anything else I do not know what the true facts are. Hope for two more great meetings and may it be good racing and the best team over both legs will win. Playoffs are great spectacles but for one I always. Think top of the league over a full season are the Champs. -

To all Poole fans. You know that whatever you say somebody is going to come back against you. Best way to handle it is just do not reply to them. Let the team speak for themselves win or lose. -
The score does not tell all the story. Racing was top class with a great deal of overtaking. Some of the moves from Kyle were fantastic. I am not singling him out as all the Plymouth riders rode well. First time this season at SBA and I was very impressed with the improvements made. The crowd appeared to be reasonable which goes to show that if a team produces results and entertainment the crowds will return. Really hope the Devils make the playoffs. I don't think any team would be confident of giving them a beating at this point in time.

Sorry but you got that completely wrong. The race was brilliant with Fisher going off 15m. Fisher caught up Morris on the last bend and they both raced like hell for the line and virtually went over together with Morris moving over to prevent Fisher catching him. They went past the finish at tremendous speed and the bikes got locked together coming into the first bend after the finish. There was no dirty riding and neither Fisher nor Morris were to blame. -

Coventry are not without a No 1. Check the averages for June. Hans has dropped a great deal and Chris is now No 1
