Why Poole. It is the individual who has decided not to ride. Riders are self employed and can decide themselves if they want to take part into an individual meeting. Having said that I feel riders who have made a living in that league should support it. At least Poole have 2 Brits riding who were the best riders against Wolves. -
Well done Wolves. To be honest I truly think BV will win and deserve it this season. Speedway needs a good shake up. I feel a squad sysrem is needed. But, I do not feel rider control would work. It would not work in any other sport and why should any club not be able to succeed with its own business plan. Every other sport does. In this day of politics is it called a fee market. I do not know what the real solution is.All I know is there must be changes and leagues that have a sustainable number of fixtures. I personally am not a fan of the play offs. In my view Belle Vue are the champions already..

Plymouth V Scunthorpe Pl 17/09/16

Don't forget Plymouth were without Holder and Newman. Not a good post above. What I was pointing out was Plymouth had neither Holder and Newman so were weakened. I think they may have finished a bit further up had Brady stayed. -

Yep. Jack Holder. -
Gaven. You say you are not anti Poole. Fair enough. Please explain why all your posts seem negative against them as a collective.. You would be a great team manager as you think you know all the faults with Poole. Perhaps Matt would like to appoint you. I have no personal axe to rind as I go to whatever speedway I can. You say you are not anti one team but there is no evidence of that. I wish Ipwich a good season and hope the crowds hold up.

Brady Kurtz At Plymouth
Sherborne Green replied to Sherborne Green's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Jenga as a neutral in all this I notice at first you thought I was telling porkies re Brady Kurtz then on the Workington web site you said no matter you would still beat Plymouth. It is as good job matches are raced on the track and not on forums. The result was enough to show Workington were well and truly beaten. It was not close. I live in Dorset and go to both Poole and Somerset so can look at things with clear eyes. -

I think lack of rides comes into it. Poole have a meeting on 1 st June but no more until 29th June. EL does not hold riders attention and they need to ride and earn more. A bigger league with meetings every week would reduce the riders looking to ride in both leagues. What do you mean by attention seeking? The signing is a fact -

I would like to congratulate the Plymouth Devils management who after nearly closing have now put together a very good looking team with both the Australian Champion and the Australian U 21 champion in their team. This team looks very attractive in my eyes. No1 Brady Kurtz, No 2 Sam Simota,No 3 Jack Holder, No 4 Todd Kurtz, No 5 Kyle Newman, No 6 Stefan Nielsen and No 7 Ellis Perks. Come on you Plymouth fans that's a very attractive team and deserves large attendances.

Not saying it's upsetting but if clubs have double up riders that's what happens. If the first meetings were weather effected it would still be the same. This is only LC not league so not so important. I would rother the Devils sorted their problems than exited speedway. Come on lads let be pleased a team has survived. In days gone passed riders only rode for one team but that is not sustainable now.

Costs are a big thing in reducing crowds not only in speedway but many other sports. True EL have fewer matches and it is not every week as it used to be. However the costs do mount. You have to take into account not only the admission but all the other costs like getting there etc. I live getting on for 50 miles from the track so fuel costs to get there is around £10. Parking £2. Programme £3. Entered E for two over 65 is £28. You are already up to £43 before buying any food or coffees. We are lucky we can afford to do this but defiantly not for 16 plus matches a season. Should we be a family of 5 the costs even with a family ticket would be £47 plus all the rest so before food and drink £62. -
Plymouth Remain Open!

Does this help? http://plymouthdevils.proboards.com/thread/7377/new-era-dawned -
Don't put Plymouth down yet Steve. I do hope they will come up from the pit. There are a number of people down there who are willing to fight to keep the Devils alive. Including Kyle.

Could someone please clarify the position as to who has first call on a rider. The situation is Josh, Rohan and Charles are the top three in the averages for Somerset who ride on a Friday. Stefan is a reserve for Plymouth also on a Friday. There are a number of EL clubs with Friday as a race night. This has probably already been answered but I can't remember.

You Shouldn't Call People Retards. It's Offensive
Sherborne Green replied to SCB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not saying anything mate. Just seems to be a great deal of bad feeling going around and it is not really needed. As I say let Poole speak for themselves on the track and that will answer everyone. -

Starman. Poole are a great team. Please try and show a bit of good will towards other team supporters. I know people try and wind people up but try and turn the other cheek. Let Poole speak for themselves on the track. They have not needed any help. Have a great Christmas and hope the Pirates can bring in another Championship.
