  1. Poole were very fortunate with the way things went. This type of thing happens so much in a dangerous sport. A soccer or rugby team would bring in other players from their squad or an injured player would be substituted. Not practical in speedway but a squad system would make more of an even playing field.
  2. 2018 season is done and dusted. This is very boring let's now discuss 2019.
  3. As I stated in an earlier post most reserves they will come again they met last season in the NL
  4. I think that in this league next season the reserves will mainly be from this years National League. This is why I suggested the names I have. You are looking at losing on average about 4.5 points from each team on last years starting averages. on finishing averages the lowest last year was Sheffield on 38.60 and the highest was Edinburgh on a whacking 46.44. To drop to 38 teams will have to bring riders up a league.
  5. What everyone has forgotten is the low 38 point limit. Therefore nearly every team will have very low average reserves. What average would Henry Atkins or Richard Andrews come in on. Maximum I would think 2.5 each. Alfie Bowtell has an average of 2.38. After taking into account the top 3 already signed you have a total of 15.05 points left. Two reserves would take it down to about 10.05 for the last 2 riders. Maybe someone like Paul Starke at 5.88, James Shane's 5.09, Mark Riss at 4.84, Ben Morley 4.92 all come not the numbers game. i think BWD at 6.00 and Todd Kurtz at 5.91 are too high. However new Australians on 4 could come into play. Fun doing guessing games. Mr May and Miss Hancock will sort it out.
  6. In a way I am sorry to see Somerset go down a league. But at least it will be easier to support both Somerset and Poole. Good luck to both teams.
  7. Everyone is entitled to their own oplnion. This is the weakest top level league we have seen in this country. Riders now ride for so many teams around Europe They are bound to get more injuries leaving a weak league with R/R and or Guest riding nearly every match. Remember when a rider only rode for your team. That's when you really got team spirit. So yes with this weak league the team that won it probably are the weakest there has been and would not have beate past winning teas.
  8. I agree fully with you Bob. Poole won the Championship for 2018. Poole came 3rd in the full league program. Kings Lynn finished top of the league by quite some way. Kings Lynn were very unlucky with injuries. This kind of results and injuries have happened other years as well. No more can really be said about the 2018 season. The KO cup is now coming and best of luck to both Kings Lynn (1 injury) and Somerset (3 injuries) Hope to be at Oaktree tomorrow.
  9. Goodbye. your posts are unbelievable. You accuse everyone as a cheat, Matt Ford, the ref, Ellis plus any rider of Poole. I thought MPT should not have been excluded in heat 12. However, the most that could have happened was a 3-2 to KL in that heat although I think it would have been a 3-2 to Poole. KL would have only had one rider in that heat as both reserves were already in the heat. MPT would not have ridden again in that leg nor the 2nd leg because of his broken hand. That is speedway. Are you accusing the Poole rider of dangerous riding with the intent of taking MPT out? Kings Lynn are disappointed which is understandable but your comments are so extreme it is unbelievable.
  10. Agree there are no Turbo Twins anymore but the top riders have abandoned GB. Poole beat the best of the rest. Why not accept that we have what we have.
  11. The rules are being broken. Question, who are to blame? Poole?, Kings Lynn?, BSPA? SCB? All of them. Rules are stupid. 7 team league, 4 teams riders not admissible. This situation was predictable with speedway being such a dangerous sport. All I can say is GET IT SORTED for the future as speedway is being murdered.
  12. You are entitled to your opinion. Not everyone will agree with you but they are also entitled to their view. The fact that one side was down to 6 riders and one to five is not unknown in matches. This is all part of speedway unfortunately. i now hope Poole win the Championship and Somerset the KO cup. As I previously said I support both teams.
  13. I have looked back at recent matches between the two teams at Poole. In the past two matches Summers has scored 2 points in each match and BWD 5 in each match. Therefore it does not seem that Somerset lost out with a guest nor with r/r. Before anyone goes on about another Poole fan I would state in this match I was neutral as I have been a fan of both clubs for years living half way between them. I admit I liked it better when they were not in the same league however.
  14. Linus was sacked he didn’t take time out......that’s the party line so that Harris could be brought in. Gavin please could you back this statement up with your proof that this is in fact correct.
  15. I know what you mean. This getting older is a bugger. In your head you can do some things but your body says not jolly likely.
  16. The reason was because it would have put The Rebels a very, very small margin over 42.5. I think it may have only been about0.01 of a point.
  17. Please explain how you get an average of 46.5 when the official green sheet averages as of 1st August issued by the BSPA show 42.26. No trick question but would like you to explain.
  18. That really works. You Doctor a track after the meeting has taken place and there are no more meetings for over a week.
