Redcar V Somerset Thursday 9th July

If Poole did what Redcar did then you would be up to 50 pages by now! -
Leicester V Swindon 11/7/15
Sherborne Green replied to Big Al's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sorry but you got that completely wrong. The race was brilliant with Fisher going off 15m. Fisher caught up Morris on the last bend and they both raced like hell for the line and virtually went over together with Morris moving over to prevent Fisher catching him. They went past the finish at tremendous speed and the bikes got locked together coming into the first bend after the finish. There was no dirty riding and neither Fisher nor Morris were to blame. -
I am not going to read all the other posts. 1. Bad way fo a final to finish it made it a none event (The final) 2. Brady crashed by himself and ref was correct. 3. Josh did not seem to have the power all night. 4. IPSWICH WERE BY FAR THE BEST TEAM ON THE NIGHT. Thanks to all the riders for a great meeting. Also to the great crowd for making it an atmosphere to remember.

What you want another Poole asset😄😉

where does arrogance come into? Should he not wish to ride in the UK for another team that is up to him. This is still a free country and it is called freedom of choice.

Don't worry Magic will stay for the season. Darcey will be loaned out so he can reduce his average for next season You know it makes sense. -
Please could somebody explain how Sam can double up. Has he got a UK passport now?

Pages of posts going over the same old ground. Some people love beating a dead horse. What ever anyone's private thoughts events will not change. The 2014 season records with always show what has already been published.

Guest Facility Abuse
Sherborne Green replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The problem is Star Lady some people only want to talk about one thing! -
I must start by saying I have not been to a speedway meeting this season. This has been mainly because of other calls on my time and cash. However, I must say that when I go it will be mainly Premier League as although there are guests and r/r used this is not anything like the EL. My visits to Poole will be mainly to see my many friends made since 1985. The problems with the EL is that so many of the riders ride in at least three different counties leagues plus all the international and GP type meetings. Injuries are bound to be at greater risk with the number of rides and the toll on the body with injuries and fatigue must be tremendous. The Polish League appear to have a such a hold on their riders they can make them ride even if they are injured. I think that in every other country each team sign on more riders than are used in one meeting, in other words a squad system. This excludes any guest riders although on the odd occasion they do use r/r. Crowds relate to riders who ride for their team. There is no chace that any guest rider will underperform for any reason. ( not saying that any do on purpose). You do hear in the crowd some people doubting a guests commitment. This would also stop the comments and doubts of other teams supporters (as quite rightly made about Magic). Teams would not be able to pick a guest who likes a particular track that their rider hates. Come on people who run speedway the problems are quite obvious and could be solved with a bit of thought. I am sure crowds would return. Looking at other sports which other professional sport have guests in competitive matches A? I can't think of any.

Coventry Bees V Poole Pirates 10th April 2015
Sherborne Green replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Like everything else this forum is all about opinions. Who is to say who is right or wrong. I was not there as I assume many other writing were not either. Magic may well of won all his remaining rides or he may have come last. I believe when a team gets in front by so many so early they tend to take their foot off the gas. They should not but this often happens in all sports. With regard to Chris who knows. This will depend on so much mainly Chris himself. The result was the result and that is all that will show at the end of the day. -

Gavin. How many seasons are you going to saying about Belle Vue meeting? Speedbee. Yes Poole have power to ban items. I don't think so. This is a new season so I am awaiting to see what this years big complaint will be. -

"Wishing and Hopeing and Planning and Praying" -
I am sure everything will turn out ok for Kenneth. From personal experience I know what it's like when you are told you have cancer but I trust and pray that things get sorted as they were for me. Sure we will see him back on the track in time to come.

Not a wheel has turned.Bookies do not ride speedway bikes. Plymouth will not win the league in my opinion however, many things change over the course of a season. Looking at the Plymouth team I think they will be hard to beat on their own tricky track. They have a number of SBA specialists in the team. Away from home we will see.

The season has not really started yet and Poole have not ridden yet. However, reading some of the posts on this thread it appear some contributors are itching to find fault with the team and how they manage the coming season.

I have just seen on the Somerset web site that Lew has passed away. Personally I have very fond memories of Lew since I met him and his good wife Betty in 1980 at the old Weymouth stadium. Always time for everyone and brought on many a young rider. RIP Lew. Condolences to Betty and the family.

If in the PL the criteria is 7 points I would have no problem with that.
-
I do not think atthe end of the day it will effect the likes of Chris Holder, Batchelor or Doyle as they are all GP riders and at the top of their game. It could effect Ward but so be it. Poole have plenty of other choices. I feel sorry for the many riders in the PL. There are not many replacement for these. The riders from the NL would not be up to the job yet.
-
I still feel that those who need to know already know what Poole's team is for next season. The rest of us just have to wait. However, I am sure a number will speculate and some will be sure there is conspiring going on.
-
All Poole fans are individuals who each have their own ideas of what team they would like. Personally I would love Chris to be back. It could well be that the team is already signed up but not being announced to the fans. This has happened in the past. Reading a great number of other threads it appears that the visa situation is getting really complicated so it could well be that some changes in many teams could happen. Nothing is sure until the tapes go up.

so is Josh and he doubled up last year.
-
i know what you mean but it's not fare on Chris to possibly leave him without a team. To be honest I do not know how it will be played but I feel Chris will be back.
