  1. Don't worry Magic will stay for the season. Darcey will be loaned out so he can reduce his average for next season You know it makes sense.
  2. The problem is Star Lady some people only want to talk about one thing!
  3. Like everything else this forum is all about opinions. Who is to say who is right or wrong. I was not there as I assume many other writing were not either. Magic may well of won all his remaining rides or he may have come last. I believe when a team gets in front by so many so early they tend to take their foot off the gas. They should not but this often happens in all sports. With regard to Chris who knows. This will depend on so much mainly Chris himself. The result was the result and that is all that will show at the end of the day.
  4. OK I apologise. I just see that being brought up so much I just want to move on two seasons. Not getting at personally I assure you Gavan.
  5. Gavin. How many seasons are you going to saying about Belle Vue meeting? Speedbee. Yes Poole have power to ban items. I don't think so. This is a new season so I am awaiting to see what this years big complaint will be.
  6. I am sure everything will turn out ok for Kenneth. From personal experience I know what it's like when you are told you have cancer but I trust and pray that things get sorted as they were for me. Sure we will see him back on the track in time to come.
  7. Not a wheel has turned.Bookies do not ride speedway bikes. Plymouth will not win the league in my opinion however, many things change over the course of a season. Looking at the Plymouth team I think they will be hard to beat on their own tricky track. They have a number of SBA specialists in the team. Away from home we will see.
  8. I have just seen on the Somerset web site that Lew has passed away. Personally I have very fond memories of Lew since I met him and his good wife Betty in 1980 at the old Weymouth stadium. Always time for everyone and brought on many a young rider. RIP Lew. Condolences to Betty and the family.
  9. Well done Somerset and all the best in the final. Surprised no comments from Gavin, but he may be too busy on the Poole section of the forum. Don't take offence Gavin just having a bit of fun. Well played Ipswich for getting so close.
  10. EL teams run home and away every other week. They also have a NL team that run on the week the first team is away. This cuts costs, more good riders are interested in riding here. Crowds would see the riders they want to see as top riders would have less commitments. Young and upcoming riders would have a truly meaningful league in which to improve. The PL works reasonably well but some clubs may well drop out because of the costs. Therefore, I feel that some of the riders who ride EL, PL and abroad must choose what they want. Doubling up upsets both EL and PL supporters and management. Therefore may I suggest that riders should only be allowed to ride for one team in this country but could also ride abroad if they wished. Not saying this is the answer but just my thoughts.
  11. I think that Plymouth should think long and hard about Simota and Benko if they are to progress.
  12. Reading all your posts re the two matches you do seem to have an thing about WCs
  13. May I just point out there are a number of people that go to both Somerset and Poole. Living in Sherborne, near Yeovil, we are equal distant between the two tracks. Teams are in different leagues so why not support both teams?
  14. Not too sure what Scribbler will make of this with Matt Fords involvement.
  15. I think in all fairness Starman is a very regular spectator at Oaktree.
  16. Great to see Gary Spiller back as team Manager for the Devon Demons. Good luck Gary.
  17. On the Somerset site it shows Brady's average as 3.
  18. Well done you Rebels. Great double for Somerset & Dorset.
  19. Very large field for parking at the stadium at the cost of £1. Plenty of decent grub at the stadium. Some of the best of any track I have been. Hope this helps.
  20. That is what prompted my post Former Devil. I follow 3 teams. Somerset, Poole and my first team Plymouth. I mean the first team I watched in 1962. At that time all Brits in the team. A total of of three Brits all at Somerset. Two at reserve and one second string. Think that tells a big story.
  21. With Cory Gathercole out for the rest of the season Plymouth will have to sign a replacement. Sign a Brit you say but who? At this time of the season there is virtually nobody around to take his place so you have to go to Europe or further afield. At this time of the season there is nobody from the lower league to replace to someone with a 6 plus PL average. Virtually all EL teams have 3 double uppers so nobody there. Answers on a postcard.
