Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
Byker Biker replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I thought that was mild considering what Tai may have said to you Robert -
Tough decision? The hardest decision he has to make is flip flops or trainers!!!!!!

Best you have another word with Lyndon then and clarify his/your understanding, this was all about the cost of using a number 1 as a tac sub and yes it was Ipswich who proposed the change. Can you imagine the cost of giving Gollob a tac ride and heat 15? Heaven forbid he qualified for an RR ride as well !

Bspa Have Blocked Richard Hall`s Move To Brum!
Byker Biker replied to Brummie Kev's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
But that would be against the rules surely? In name only, it helps to keep the Aussies out and justifies that it is for BRITISH riders only! Like many I feel Richard is not for this league but to invent a rule to contradict a rule and interpret it like it's never been interpreted before, not withstanding it was deemed to be beneficial to have one British old hand (loophole if needed) over the age of 25 and the fact that Tony Atkin rode for Bradford in the equivalent of the Elite League (The highest tier in British Speedway at the time) really does ridicule the sport. "Richard I'm really sorry NL isn't for you we'll do everything we can to find you a spot in one of the other leagues even if it means we have to with-hold a Certificate of Sponsorship" would have been a far more acceptable response. 12 years is a long, long time if he had been jailed for less than 2 years for robbery or burglary it would not need to be declared after 10 years but the crime of progressing in your career during teen years should not penalise him in his thirties. They should have covered this possibility off properly at the NL AGM but of course they wanted to keep the door ajar just in case, as always, so time for another U turn and follow the rule book or don't ever apply it's contents again. -

Kings Lynn V Sparta Wroclaw 18.03.16
Byker Biker replied to stevehone's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I made a 6 hour round trip to see this meeting and thoroughly enjoyed it, it was great to see Tai come out to be interviewed and say thanks at the end of the evening. Wroclaw were exciting to watch and some of their "tactics" reminded me of how tough the sport used to be, great show considering the early rain and the temperature. Well done to all concerned. -

Gospeed - What's Happening?
Byker Biker replied to uk_martin's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Your talents as a stirring boring anorak are wasted Martin if you want to understand companies acts, laws and avoidance why don't you have a word with your old buddy? You know the financial wizard that used to run Birmingham Speedway, now what was his name? -

Sheffo's Proctor Out!
Byker Biker replied to TheScotsman's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Shaun it is unfortunately the facts but ask yourself who it was that allegedly said it was OK for Ty to ride in place of Roynon and then subsequently avoided employing him in 2015. Let's be honest as a new promotion you would rely on the advice given be someone more experienced han yourself particularly if it was what you wanted to hear anyway -
Sheffo's Proctor Out!
Byker Biker replied to TheScotsman's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
As I understand it Ty was sponsored by Wolverhampton last year and rode for Sheffield at some point which contravened UKVI regulations. It may well be that Sheffield were in the dark but brought a migrant worker in, who they did not sponsor, to replaced a settled worker. This is a direct contravention of the UKVI policy. I also understand that Ty applied for permanent leave to remain which did not meet the criteria as he had broken his UK employment/residential status and the reason for this could not be taken into consideration. He did not qualify to race in the PL in 2015 as his average was blighted by injury but and a big but he has an EL average that would allow him to race in the EL for the club who sponsored him as he meets that criteria. My opinion is that both Sheffield and Ty have been shafted although Sheffield knew when they built their team that Ty had a 60 day curtailment which has taken effect. A job in the EL with his sponsor would have saved his curtailment. A sad, very sad situation that could have been avoided if he had been given a job in the EL at the outset of the season or saved if he was employed by his parent/club. Please don't speculate, Ty is a victim of the Promoters of two clubs who tried to work the system and failed and if the truth be known others have escaped by the skin of their teeth. -

Byker Biker replied to montie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ty certainly seems to be struggling in the PL looks like a Scunny walkover either way for me unless Douglas blobs -
About time he used the dispute as a smoke screen and suckered plenty. where are are Pratty, Rosco and Trump now? Even their gob piece Boon has vitually disappeared and what about Heave ho? Oh yes even Rick and Julie got dragged in to a hidden agenda, so, so unnecessary.
