  1. Enjoy your rest, it would have been a lot more palatable for those affected clubs if the fixture list hadn't been adopted by the BSPA. Let's be honest both the home and away clubs had agreed to every Friday fixture that was in the list so wtf were the rest of them doing when this occurred?
  2. The bigger issue will be "How come there are only Polish riders in the Grand Prix?" Then they might wake up, we may only have 1 or 2 Brits capable of winning a race at that level never mind a GP or the series, Tai yes and Robert eventually.
  3. Interesting comments, I honestly believe the team name is a no win situation for the promotion so they may as well bite the bullet and go down the Rockets route at least it will have synonymity with local media and local folk. This sort of issue demonstrates just how fickle Speedway supporters can be if they choose to be so, when Cradley moved to Stoke it was a financial disaster yet the club name has been able to run, closer to the Black Country, as a nomad team relatively successfully and just about viable for some seasons. I know this proves that Dudley Wood closed prematurely but neither Stoke or Cradley fans gave the Promoters the best of both worlds at Loomer Road. If you look at the number of revived team names swishing about the development leagues there is a small core of used to go folk who trip around following the club name and do a good job keeping the name alive but is that really enough to build on? I honestly believe that an experienced promotion that can; put right the obvious wrongs of the previous Promoters, avoid paying riders stupid money and operate with a Promoter who maintains enthusiasm instead of rocking up at 8 o'clock in shorts, flip flops and cocked shades (so not JC IMHO) has the basis to make it work. They can start by shovelling all that 5hit off the centre green !
  4. Oh aye, and if some folk had ever raced a Speedway bike they'd think a bit harder before posting on here. This forum is full of Team Managers, Promoters and expert riders who stand on the terraces every week filling a programme in, crack on.
  5. It's 'cos it was a Friday, having created plenty of guests somebody has to use them now.
  6. This is just great, so tell me which gear ratio? Do we change it every race as the track slickens? Back wheel right back or forward? Toe out or in line? We'll leave ignition timing and jetting for the time being and I don't think we'll need to tilt the bars forward a touch to get us up the front on grippy starts - there's not enough races to sort it all out!
  7. What's the difference? Between 2 and 4 quid on the gate, that's all!
  8. There's no need to call Tesar Racing names !
  9. One team either did it or tried to do it regularly Dick and then their biggest competitor in the Midlands followed suit so twisted knees and pulled shoulder muscles became season ending injuries
  10. Here's a link to Speedway supporters and a bouncy castle
  11. Bearing in mind his rights of appeal are to the ACU it will compromise that process if he is allowed to ride
  12. The bottom 8 will supply the guests for the top 8 when they race on Fridays as Friday will be Guest day, always used to be fish on Fridays when I was a lad now it's just fishy. So the riders from the bottom 8 will get to ride in the Play Offs anyway
  13. There have been some good business people with proven sales and marketing skills in Speedway in the last decade but unfortunately were driven out by the win at all costs brigade. They win at all costs mentalitists were never into the long term just who or how hard they could shaft the opposition using everything except 4 laps on a Speedway bike to achieve it.
  14. If Workington and Newcastle are to be believed then Scunthorpe have been refusing to re-arrange fixtures in the absence of Steve Worrall how co-operative is that?
  15. Go on Tony get this years set up on Survey Monkey and we'll give it a go, same questions so that any comparison is like for like
  16. A bit more raucus but yes you're on the right path
  17. Pay attention lad, keep up. "The Kinks are an English rock band formed in Muswell Hill, North London, in 1964 by brothers Ray and Dave Davies. They are regarded as one of the most important and influential rock bands of the 1960s."
  18. Phil, you know whatever emerges will be somebodys sanitised interpretation of reality, they still think they can protect themselves from the outside world. They're like elephants hiding behind a lamp post that think no-one can see them, it's corporate denial.
  19. You're right this will buy 2 seasons unless 5 or 6 clubs close then there will be a reasonable standard of riders available for those that are left.
  20. Might have something to do with a certain rider not scoring points when he rode for Workington last season so that he could comfortably guarantee his place in the Glasgow team this season.
  21. The minutes are sanitised before they are published, just remember it's a legally constituted association (not that it makes any difference to the current regime who are better Magicians than Ian Thomas was)
