  1. If people can't make it, the meeting is streamed on BSN rather than the usual Pirates TV.
  2. So Garry May changing the riding order around with Barker at 4. Tomorrow at Poole he's listed at 3. Maybe it'll be a regular home/away switch? EDIT: Updated riding order - Barker stays at 4.
  3. OK I take the point. Your greyhound knowledge is far greater than mine. My point was that Swindon dogs is still run by GI who ran Poole and who you said were the worst operators!
  4. At the time the GI statement said that Poole dogs and trainers would be going to Swindon where they are still operating under GI (presumably successfully) despite the drawn out saga of whether speedway could still operate?!
  5. I don't believe Speedway should be compared to any indoor sport eg. Darts, Ice Hockey etc which have a comfortable, hospitality-driven atmosphere as well as being exciting in their own way and also building up (promoting?) Individual players.
  6. Ask Plymouth. The Polish U24 league operates a squad system so its possible to work around any fixture clashes. ps. Sorry RandR you got there before me.
  7. The 'one league' concept would have to be based on the current Championship level+ which would NOT mean a weaker product imo. Further more clubs would be allowed to race on the night that best suits their connurbation and if that means clashing with some foreign leagues/competitions so be it.
  8. The football club have big ambitions for eventually the Football League????? If they ever get close to it, Poole Stadium would not be acceptable and would need a total revamp as a number of things do not meet FL minimum requirements.
  9. Racing on a Saturday will only suit those clubs in a location that doesn't have loads of other leisure attractions, aside from the possibility of being up against Football and many other sports.
  10. Why would it be a 'much weaker product'? However riders without the doubling up option will want to demand a higher rate of pay from their one club, so the cost of admission will very much be relevant? NB. I want to hear from Phil Morris......!
  11. As greyhound racing has apparently 'evolved since covid' maybe that message could be filtered down to Gaming International at Poole so that they could reintroduce it as part of their lease agreement with the Council who own Poole Stadium?
  12. Unfortunately thats what happens in a regional group competition with pressure on to complete before end April, plus being 'drawn' against the same club in the KO Cup
  13. not pessimistic, i' m saying it'll be a win but also competitive.
  14. I actually think this could be a very competitive meeting. Plymouth's top 3 all go well at Poole and if Gilkes and Starke dig in, it could be quite close. 49-41.
  15. Zach Cook will be just fine. Just needs to get used to the tracks, many of which he's not seen before.
  16. If Panthers get 3000+ then it's a win even if they lose the match!
  17. It is on the website. PLUS in the presence of Ulrich and Ryan
  18. I think you'll find its MPT in at 1. Also present on Monday Ryan Sullivan and Ulrich Ostergaard
  19. Lewy you are slipping - thats taken you a full day to respond!! Well done Poole promotion for giving up the home second leg of the KO Cup meeting.
  20. I presented him with a Rider of the Night trophy back in the day but i'm 6ft4" so had to kneel down for the photo!
  21. For those that remember Steve Schofield he reminds many Pirate supporters of him.
  22. Well done to Ben Cook 10+2 - more that the Lions top scorer!!
