  1. School holidays mean higher attendances usually.
  2. It's listed in the official GSAs as 3.61 from 26/7.
  3. I'm told promoters have already met and discussed ( and agreed??) the league format for 2024.
  4. Nothing wrong with a 3 night mini break in Poland!!
  5. Does that mean a reserve change for Sunday? If so, not many options under 3.61
  6. I wonder if all members of the GB World Cup squad have to be in attendance in Poland on Tuesday? If so it saves him going there and back again! Either that or it's a mini break at the Chateau maybe?!
  7. That explains it, you're still living in the stone age!! If concrete was used the current tyres would be shredded by the first bend!!
  8. I get the Unsatisfactory starts ruling, but whats the point if after 2 warnings and a d/q the rider is still allowed to race albeit with a 15 metre handicap in which the rider could easily get away with a rolling start again!? It's hardly a punishment at all.
  9. What? Even after a second warning? A reserve replacement I can understand, but allowing the rider back on 15 meters???! otherwise whats the point of official warnings??
  10. Judging by his comments on BSN commentary on Friday, Dickson would simply do anything and everything to get one over on Poole! He was still bemoaning Poole winning the play-offs last year at Kings Lynn, despite it was Leicester's inability to get their own track right for the 2nd leg!!
  11. Apologies if this has already been covered, but just catching up on BSN. How is it Craig Cook got a heat 15 d/q as well as a second warning and was still allowed to restart on 15 meters? As it turned out it wouldn't necessarily have affected the final result - just interested.........
  12. Strange, when the refs also usually do a track walk and then sit in their refs box usually directly overseeing (or very close to) the start! I thought refs were in charge of everything as soon as they arrive at the track? I also think at Poole that having choice of gate positions for heat 1 can also have an effect on how the meeting goes. Not sure about other tracks, but you often hear at some tracks that gate ?? is a 'graveyard'! I notice that BSN give gate stats 2 or 3 times during a meeting.
  13. I thought Edinburgh were the pioneers of streaming. That's certainly what the BSN guys have said when asked how/why they started. Are Glasgow now the only Championship side NOT offering a stream?
  14. Most tracks do it and have done it for years. Currently if you watch BSN streams their pre-meeting track walk always comments on how the 'starts are ripped up' ! Exactly what is done will depend on the amount and type of shale , temperature and how wet the track is at each track.
  15. Maybe CVS could take over the promoting licence at Blunsdon?! Just a thought.........
  16. I do love a chuckle after a trophy win. You should try it some time..........! NB. it was a fair win for the Tigers last night against a misfiring Pirates side. If Zach Cook and Anders Rowe had scored as usual, Pirates may just have got the draw?!
  17. Yes that was it Meredith. I guess he won't be coming back then?
  18. In the BSN track walk with Bomber at the start of the BSN stream, Bomber stated that they'd done a lot of track work under the supervision of (I think) Alan Bridgett from Monmore. Yet the track turned out to be very slick!! No surprise that Poole kept it tight on the night. With a fully fit Zach it may have been closer.
