Yes it was good to meet him last night. Very personable and made a point of going around to every sponsor - chatting and photos - during the evening. First 'live' interview with one of the Piratecast crew too. Watch this space.......or more accurately, social media and Youtube!

With the assumption that most have a good idea about 2 of the final 3, I think many will be surprised by the final signing!

If a club has any decent media contacts - social and/or traditional - then they prefer the "drip-feed" approach! Simples. If they haven't got any - why not?!

Maybe. But the Lannings will tell you that a 30 word piece in the Sun for each rider announcement - let alone all the social media, TV and Radio - is far more useful !!

Kyle had his long-awaited shoulder operation this week. As he says - he's pain-free for the first time in 2-3 years so should be fully fit for the 2024 season. But its all down to numbers!! Averages and £££s.

So if 'virtually 10 points' left for the final 2 riders, Barker on 7.42 will leave around 20+ points for the other 4 riders signed up. Assuming there are 2x 2pointers (or a 2 and a 3), that would still leave enough for an 8pointer and 7 pointer.

The exact wording in Danny Ford's email to sponsors is :- "Exciting Special Announcement" to be made! It could be a rider, it could be about the future of the stadium, it could be a new Sponsor, it could be a new additional co-promoter? Anything is possible!

It may not be a rider announcement?!
