  1. You'll probably have a few Pirate fans cheering for the Monarchs on Friday - but then back to usual for Sunday!
  2. At least he was consistent with the awarded heats as the previous week v Oxford.
  3. Has Cook had his bikes released by the police yet? I hear we will have a different start Marshall on Sunday due to holiday absences. Hope the ref keeps a close eye on movement at the starts......!
  4. ..and that is why I believe there is currently far more realism at Championship level. Even one league at Championship level with team formats/structure to suit
  5. Are Basso and Vissing available? After all it is a Wednesday meeting!
  6. All very laudible ideals, but first and foremost clubs need to be financially stable at whatever level best meets their budget and whichever raceday suits their catchment area. No good having an 'elite' league of say 5 or 6 clubs who then can't sustain that level for more than a season due to finances and/or lots of defeats.
  7. Not long til next Wednesday. Hope you buy the club stream. I'm sure the score won't be 62-28 again!!
  8. Hans had another big crash in Denmark last night. Ribs and foot injuries.
  9. Clearly fans aren't feeling 'robbed' as they continue to attend every week in great numbers - many say the best in the Championship! Winning makes trophies makes profitable attendances! Simples.
  10. The speakers/sound system in the glass restaurant stand are abysmal. Thank goodness I'm back in my grandstand seat on Sunday and the rest of the season. Having said that, there were some first timers amongst the sponsors guests - adults and teenagers- who so thoroughly enjoyed the evening they are paying to come back Sunday v Edinburgh. Job done!
  11. Championship teams out vote the Prem teams by number. No way will they 'go up' if Mon/thurs are still fixed race nights. And why should they weaken their product to suit the whims of a few so-called senior clubs?
  12. They were pretty strong at Redcar too! Fair play to the Bearz though. They kept Poole honest early on.
  13. Darcy being interviewed centre green.what a reception from the big crowd!
  14. Rearranged for Friday 25th August at 7pm. First part of a double header.
  15. They are saying its r/r (as at Plymouth!) - nobody wants to guest against Poole!
  16. r/r - unless theres a last minute surprise! PS. Tonight's Rider of the Night Award will be chosen by a Piratecast twitter poll amongst fans at the stadium
  17. Loads of centregreen activity at Plymouth last night. Sponsors and guests were allowed centregreen last week at Poole. We shall see...........! Danny Ford has not mentioned anything!
  18. With the distinct probability of fewer teams next year, then team building plans will be very different and team building points limit will prompt a real discussion whether 2 leagues or just one!
  19. With r/r in operation there could be more time between heats so could take a bit longer than usual. In this Piratecast-sponsored meeting I shall be vacating my usual grandstand seat and joining the guests for some hospitality in the glass restaurant/stand. Not a favourite viewing position but I guess once a season is ok - still get to see the pits early and see some heats from centregreen. COYP. I still think this will be a tight meeting, having watched the 'depleted' Bears at Plymouth last night, they were gating very well, although Glads were probably a little 'ring rusty'!
  20. The Poole/SGP DJ plays Rocketman every time Richard wins a race, so it's played quite a lot! It adds to the great atmosphere at Poole meetings. Each visiting team has its own music played on the parade as each team enters the centregreen. Sweet Caroline is also belted out before heat 15!
  21. And Wright is missing tonight and tomorrow for Redcar
