Pointless topic as there won't be an 'Elite League Speedway' thread in 2014!!!!

Lets not forget that Sky's viewing figures are/were reportedly much better for midweek domestic speedway than Saturday GPs - however surprising that might seem!! This week I would think Sky have more than enough footie, with play-offs etc - to need a speedway meeting. That's not to say that they will not be interested in continuing next year - but as someone has already said, at a cheaper contract price, which will probably mean more PL meetings as there won't be that many EL clubs if any at all!!

Not true actually - the investigation is by the SCB (not the BSPA) into the circumstances of the cancellation/postponement!

Philip, I think we should go back to having all riders graded rather than their individual averages, as this might give a bit more flexibility and avoid the need for any average manipulation.

Should have gone with a squad system as Matt Ford suggested ages ago!!! If a promotion had to replace their top riders at short notice with other members of the squad (assuming they are in the country), then the match should go ahead and they should charge a reduced admission fee! Simples

If you are not getting your club news in the local media - newspapers and radio in particular - then your club's PR person needs a kick up their proverbial!! The BSPA website is as good as any other for listing fixtures and the latest news and is (usually) updated daily - but even that relies on individual club PROs to send the info in!!

That's what the sport needs - send the Prime Minister to get it sorted and get some valuable national publicity too!!

What a poor refereeing decision in heat 15. It cheats the public from a fair deciding final heat - and it was a wrong disqualification!! Shame on a good night otherwise.
