The key mistake that Team GB made this time was to listen to the recommendations of Kennett's 'mentor' John Davis and EL Team Manager Rosco that Eddie would do a job at KL!!!! As for the team changes for the play-off, team spirit will be crucial (Woffy,Barker,Bridger?!) and I'm sure the Aussies will be delighted at the inclusion of Barker!! Team GB Manager Phil Morris (rather than Team Coach Middlo) will need all his 'skills' particularly against the Aussies, with an 'interest' in both camps!!

So can probably afford cheaper programmes unlike those clubs that have to pay a commercial rent and whose only source of income is through the turnstiles, programmes, advertising and any sponsorship!

There's nothing wrong with enthusiastic amateurs!! Not sure about some of the 'inserts' referred to above, but when its happened at Poole, the 'insert' as usually a 4-page (ie an A4 double sided) race card with race sponsors still included and updated info on the reverse eg Meeting sponsor profile; rider changes etc!! As has been said, promoters cannot afford to lose money on programmes/advertising especially if, like last year, there were many rain-offs.

The Swindon newspaper yesterday stated that Howarth is in the team for Monday and that Kennett 'had stopped riding for Berwick', but lo and behold Kennett rode for them last night! Berwick are also saying that he will continue to ride for them - as agreed with Swindon - until Ricky Ashworth is fully fit to return! And as we know you cannot re-declare with an injured rider!!!

..But Howarth is illegal in the current Swindon 1-7 SCB!!!! You' re always on about breaking rules , lets hear your opinion on this one!!

What loophole??? Any team can re-declare as many times as it likes as long as it keeps within the required points limits and gets BSPA MC approval! Remember MF wasn't at the AGM in November so can't really be blamed for any of this season's rules/changes!!! If there weren't stupid points limits and unworkable team building regs then there wouldn't be an issue - for any club!! I see at least 2 or 3 promoters - probably more - are now coming around to Matt's proposal for squads!!

I know Starman, I met Steve at work on several occasions when he was floor manager for the darts on Sky - at a venue near you!! And we caught up again in Cardiff at the hotel after the GP!

With the lack of fixtures, Rosco is probably having to spend even more long hours doing his 'day job' of truck driving!! So maybe he's just not getting enough sleep? What with all that worry and With a 4th addition to the family expected soon he won't be getting much more sleep either!! That bubbly personality needs lifting somehow as its probably also affecting young Nick who lives with Rosco, doesn't he?!

Not for Monday it won't be!!! Another re-declaration after this evening. Kozza only in for one meeting plus doubts over Dyer after he was eventually withdrawn at Redcar last night and of course the length of THJ's rib/collarbone absence! Watch this space.
