  1. ...and then we might find out who his mates really are......!!
  2. Liverpool - a top team at home in red(and supported by Rosco ), beaten by Southampton - a team from the South Coast, in blue. I hope the comparison is a good one for Monday. Good luck and no more injuries to both teams.
  3. He wasn't in any town centre. He was in his and Middlo's local - at the 'Church', in the country!! Get your facts right!
  4. With Tai having covered for NKI in the last couple of weeks, I expect NKI to return the favour for Wolves!!
  5. Should be introduced at NL level immeadiately and as soon as production levels have increased, to the PL (or next league level up) asap!
  6. I thought Mick might simply be asking the fans on here!!?
  7. Riders get dropped all the time to suit the 'averages'. I reckon Kyle has spent more time at Matt's or Middlo's since he was dropped than beforehand!!!
  8. He went to Swindon, fully fit - & learned to hold on to the bike!! But fortunately got a teamplace elsewhere where he got paid!
  9. 1. Poole didn't 'crap' on him, as you put it - just ask him! 2. He's still down at Poole, whenever he's not racing elsewhere. 3. He has sponsors already lined up for 2014. 4. He's going out with Middlo's daughter!!!!
  10. I would have expected a totally different response from both clubs as their respective cost base must be so different!! Somerset own their own stadium and (I think) get all the revenue from everything at the stadium and have no rent to pay. Poole only have admission fees, programme and ad sales, merchandise and sponsorship, whilst having to pay rent and huge amounts to 'top' riders. If its .not financially viable. for Somerset then it surely can't be for Poole - on current income/cost calculations!! That's not to say I don't disagree that costs to everyone need to be reduced, ensuring that some savings are passed onto the fans.
  11. You won't have Howarth - he's already announced and pencilled in for Poole 2014!
  12. If the truth be known, most Poole fans (as far as BSF was concerned) were salivating over the thought of no Trump in 2011!! And no I'm not talking about bridge!
  13. Cheers. Any indication of how the attendance compares to a normal Nottingham EL match?
  14. Ooh pray tell who is in the 'Ford Gang'? I'd love to know your opinion!! Despite what is in the minds of several fans, there is far less animosity - in most cases none at all - between the EL promoters!! Ford, Cook, Van Stratton and Frost have been working on the changes for next year, which the likes of Bob Dugard have already stated 'he is excited by' and which give him 'fresh hope for the future'!!
  15. I must confess I don't understand the logic of Poole being some bookies' favourites?! They finish 4th - just - and apart from the big home win over Lakeside, they are hardly in the best of form in the past few weeks!!
  16. Why would it matter to a newcomer. They would usually be happy to see 15 heats of decent racing between 6 or 7 riders on each team! If they actually buy a programme or racecard, they can fill in any gaps in the races simply by listening to announcements or checking the scoreboard - assuming there is one.
  17. So the 'big weekend' was in Nottingham - and Nottingham won the final(s)? mmmm??! As a matter of interest, whats the attendance capacity and price for the 'big weekend'?
  18. Don't think you'll need to worry about that!!!!!!! Surely the final will be Wolves v Pirates. The sport's image will be tarnished beyond repair if 2 'insolvent' or 'financially unsound' clubs are seen to compete for the sports main prize in the UK!!
  19. Whatever the new structure of the leagues to reduce costs to promoters, part of the equation to move forward and attract some fans back must be to also reduce the admission price and then publicise it - widely!! 2 people at £12 is still a better return than 1 person at £17.
  20. In all honesty I will be very surprised if Poole have Ward or Holder next year in whatever form the domestic league(s) take(s)!! As disappointed as I and others will be, it won't stop me going to Poole every week - as long as I'm paying a bit less for the privilege!!
