Poole V Swindon 30 September 2013 Second Leg
SteveLyric2 replied to Vincent Vega's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Any chance that we might be able to keep this thread on topic??!! Poole will do very well to keep the 2nd leg 'interesting'. Swindon are much stronger throughout and should be able to keep it closer than 10 points - if not actually win it! In any case, the script is already written for a Brummies v Robins final, cos they both are in desperate need of the money!!! -
Dream on - it ain't about to happen!! Can't see any of the current top 3 being back. Points limit 38.5???

For a Saturday track - not a cat in hell's chance!!
-
Could be a case of some top riders getting things sorted quickly in Sweden and elsewhere - because they know there will not be a place for them in UK!!!

Not a mate of mine - I know who he is, but I've disagreed with many of his posts in the past. I must have missed the use of the 'p****' word but he explained the 'pizza face' nickname! Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is a forum rule that we should not attack the poster - just the post! Hardly Shovlaresque, whatever that means, or inane! BTW there's no need to shout - you're bold enough!!

Poole V Swindon 30 September 2013 Second Leg

Aah I see the one who enjoys his 'enforced forum holiday breaks' is back and straight on a Poole thread!! Why is that not a surprise?! Lets see how long it lasts this time......? -
I haven't seen much evidence of The Know 'slating all things Swindon'!! He's admitted a dislike for the Swindon Management team - whoever they currently are? - and stated a couple of reasons for this. Not like going on every Poole thread (and even some that are not Poole-related!) and spouting your 'anti-Poole/Matt Ford' bile. What happened to 'attack the post, not the poster'?
-
Yes, I've heard that very recently too!! People still seem to be missing the point!! Its not the televising of meetings that's the issue, its the Money that WON'T be coming into the sport!! Non-televised league meetings may actually have a beneficial effect on attendances, if the promoters get the admission charge structure right!! Go-Speed could employ a sports production company to film some weekly speedway highlights and then try to sell a weekly/monthly programme to a TV company.

Neither would I!! NB. Happy Birthday today CHRIS HOLDER!

Gates to open early at 1815 hours for the huge crowd expected, win or lose, - as is the case with most Poole meetings!! -
Well done to the Robins for a good team performance, as expected from a top team at home, against a 3-man Poole side. A 10 point lead should be defendable, with the possibility of T/Rs if required, even though Poole should be better at home. I hope both teams are at full strength. THJ is heading home for x-rays it seems!!?

We're talking 2014 on this thread!! Are Swindon and Brum favourites for the play-offs already? Or will they still be in existence? (ps. what about Smolinski?)

King's Lynn Stars 2013
SteveLyric2 replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I thought they were this time!!! -
No - neither will Matt Ford!!
-
No GP riders - that's why its likely to be the same or similar at Eastie!

'The only way is up....'!

THJ scored well in Poland today 7+2 from 4, so hopefully he will be dialled in! No he didn't Steve0, but he did use the 'town centre' comparison to illustrate his argument and what he thinks the circumstances were, which was just as wrong!! (ps. Is it me or has one of CR's personal insult posts disappeared?)
