  1. Rosco has always said he would want to pick his own 1-7 if ever he was to return.
  2. Maybe the new owners are trying to 'strongarm' a couple of GP riders to replace Emil and Doyley and want to get that sorted before any ownership announcement is made?!
  3. Why Godfrey's head? Phil Morris is the Premiership Chief Executive!!
  4. Cooper Rushen has signed for Kings Lynn and Poole.
  5. Isn't his final Edinburgh GSA in 2024 relevant?
  6. Maybe with MF back at the helm,Beau Bailey may have a rethink?!😝
  7. Just Roll with it and Don't look back in Anger.😂
  8. Did the Bates' not say that their reasons for 'stepping away' originally were due to the pressure of other work issues, and that the Tigers were in a 'healthy financial position'?
  9. That'll put a pause on his Premiership club discussions...............😜
  10. With only 5 teams, you'll likely find out a lot earlier than October!!!😆 PS. What about Rich Lawson for the Witches?
  11. Championship fixtures were not yet received as of Saturday 10th January!!
  12. I wish Lemo would hurry up and announce Zach Cook! His visa needs sorting...!😉
  13. So it seems that Ipswich may field a decent 1-7 after all.😉
  14. Another Poole Speedway article in the Echo online today with Matt Ford (more coverage than Semenyo!) stating that any discussion about a 'one league set-up' for 2027 should start NOW, including clarity on likely rider costs and any TV/broadcast contract. Its no good leaving it til August/Sept when many clubs have started their team-building for the next season. He has confirmed once again that Poole will NOT go 'up'(?!) into the Premiership within the present structure and fixed race nights!
  15. Matt said that everything is fine for at least 2026 and 2027, probably longer. The discussions with the Council have already identified some alternative site options ,with Matt and Danny having a 'preferred' track site within the bcp council boundary.
  16. If you read the whole article, it confirms that Poole Stadium is owned by BCP Council and only leased to G.I.. As Matt Ford - who returns to live back in Poole from France on a permanent basis - states he is in constant discussion over the longer term future of Poole Pirates with Clark Osborne and the Council, the latter wanting Poole Speedway (as the 2nd largest supported club in the area after AFCB) to remain in the Town. Alternative sites are being looked at for the longer term while Pirates remain at the stadium on an ongoing year-to-year rental basis. If anything else more specific is offered at this evening's Partner/Sponsor gathering, I'll report back............!

  18. ...and Cardiff cost the organiser at least 4 times as much just on renting the stadium!!
  19. Not forgetting also that Lemmo is on the BSPL Board!!!
  20. who are the dozens of British riders who have given up the sport - and not through injury?
  21. So the new Board has a change of balance with 3 of the 5 Premiership promoters on it., so it'll be interesting to see what potential changes may be considered for the future. I'm a little disappointed that there was no reference to any changes for 2027.
  22. I doubt Morris would get (m)any votes from the Championship members. His role as Premiership CEO hasn't exactly been brimming over with success has it?
  23. I would think a brief statement of the main 'bullet points' will be issued to Speedway Star to meet their Tuesday evening deadlines, with a longer statement made available this week, As it is certain there will be 2 senior leagues, I would hope that a statement for 2026 provides a 'temporary' format solution (as its relatively short-notice) with plans agreed for significant changes in 2027.
