Doctor, your use of language trivialised Holder's injuries!! No rider with any injury - particularly one that prevents him from racing for a period of several months - should be the butt of comments like yours!! Also what is wrong with a bit of 'hero-worship'? He is the former World Champion after all!! And who knows may even have been again if not for the injuries?! -
British Speedway Promoters Meeting

Pandorum, I think you'll find Sky Sports have been the League Sponsor, as well as televising meetings!!! One of the potential problems of having a Main Media Sponsor - of anything, not only speedway - is that other media tend to avoid giving their competition any exposure!! Its a bit like a Daily Mirror-sponsored event not being given coverage by the Sun, Times etc!! -
Thought Dyer had quit!!?

British Speedway Promoters Meeting

The 'Elite' title is part of the Sky deal, so nothing can change or be announced until the new TV deal (with whoever) is announced. -
Once again its only Morris' version of events in the SS!! Just saying. Normally at least 2 sides to every story, although in this case it seems like several!! Great shame for all the Brummie fans.

Elite League Draft Riders
SteveLyric2 replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So a bit more clarification in the SS this week. 20 young Brits (plus a few others) selected by Phil Morris/Neil Vatcher - a mix of NL and 'less experienced PL' riders, graded as A, B and C riders. Clubs with assets and/or riders living close by are given preference. However if a club gets one of the better 'A' riders at 6, then they will not get one of the best 'B' or 'C'' riders at 7. Seems fair(ish) -
Excellent signing - and quite a surprise I would think!!! Also, interesting season ticket prices announced by Lakeside:- £300 for 18 home EL fixtures(£16.67 per meeting), but for repeat/renewed season ticket holders = £270 for 18 meetings (£15 per meeting!!) Great deal for the regular, committed fans! Hope other clubs follow suit

Smolinski is 7.56 and King 7.46 in the final BSPA figures!!!!!

KK's agreat choice as your number 1. He'll be totally focused on the Leicester cause, once his testimonial at Poole in June/July and the GPs are over with!!!

Parsloes - The term British League has been quietly used in a couple of promoter statements/comments. I guess the BSPA are waiting for the new TV/Sponsorship deal before the new ".............(insert TV company)....British League' is officially announced! -
The 3rd one is probably Speedway.TV !!!!

No Chris Holder In 2014 In British League.
SteveLyric2 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Chris will continue to live in Poole when he and his family return in February!! He will ride any individual or challenge meetings in UK if he is invited to, just not the EL. His fitness and recuperation are well on course and he is due back on a bike as soon as he's back in Oz this week!! -
Holder's decision not to race in the EL in 2014 was taken before any rule changes from the AGM and its nothing to do with money. It was simply finalised with MF before Chris flys back to Oz yesterday/today!! He will be back in the UK in February and still be based in Poole and will undoubtedly ride in any individual or challenge meetings subject to his fitness and availability!!

Not quite sure I understand that last post?! The 'young british reserves' (as selected by Messrs Morris and Vatcher) will remain in the reserve positions all season - even if they perform well enough early season for their average to move above a second string. Also we don't have any rules published for 2014 yet - unless the BSPA/SCB have been exceptionally efficient post-AGM - so we don't know yet what race format or rules about riding orders, re-declarations etc etc will indicate. -
As selected by the Team GB U21 management!!

Well it would also seem no Davey Watt returning either if the same Echo reporter's tweets are accurate!

Quote not working for me or others it seems!!!!!!

Holder is due to ride in Havvy's Farewell meeting which - as the article says - is Poole's opener on 21st March 2014. -
Yes Bech is in talks with an EL team - an EL Wednesday track, as he stated in the press release on www.speedwaygp.com despite the fact he is also captaining his Danish team on selected Wednesdays!

'pretty sure he won't be a reserve CR...' Pretty sure Newman will be at reserve!!! Holder has said he doesn't want more fixtures so doubtful that he'll be back next season.
