  1. Any review on Sky will only feature EL/PL meeting highlights, unlike previous years with the GPs and World Cup. It will hardly make a 2-hour 'special'! Even with one or two of the better heats from each of the televised league meetings, it will only make a 1 hour programme at best. I'm sure somebody mentioned that Nigel Pearson had tweeted that there is a programme being put together, which will probably be scheduled as soon as any new deal is announced - or not!?
  2. Announcement 'imminent' according to today's local paper! Matt will choose a day when there is less AFC Bournemouth news in the local Echo, to get maximum coverage of Pawlicki's the final signing!!
  3. Exactly what was stated in the Speedway Star a couple of weeks ago!!! The impression given then - by Terry Russell in the same article - was that the emphasis now is on getting a League sponsor - for all 3 leagues - presumably on the back of a TV deal???
  4. It was indeed!!! After Poole used Pawlicki the previous season, but he didn't complete sufficient meetings to get a 'real average'! As soon as Poole indicated they wanted him again, the 'powers that be' brought in the so-called independent 're-assessments'. There were rumours of a successful appeal, which supposedly reduced the assessed 7 down to 6.5 - but that appears not to be true!!? For the time being Milik has been 'announced' on a 4 point figure - but as we all know from previous experience the BSPA have still to 'approve' all team line-ups in one of their early 2014 get-togethers!!
  5. Yep in 2008, Zabik came to Poole with a similar racing reputation as Holder at the time, until he got injured and had some other psychological issues!! But Poole still won the EL that year!!!
  6. Neil Watson - it looks like you have a new personal fan stalker!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
  7. Jensen Jepsen riding for a UK Wednesday track?? Yeah right......!!
  8. .........which is why I posted my 'tongue-in-cheek' comment!!
  9. 'Liking' your own posts is not cool, Neil Watson!!
  10. 7.50 enough for Pawlicki or Sundstrom (or Morris?? ) but not enough for KK or Lindback!!
  11. Only until the rule is changed at the Promoters January meeting!!!!
  12. The rules say that any 'untried' foreign rider that hasn't got an average from the Swedish or Polish senior leagues can come in on an assessed 4 points, so well done MF for keeping track of him.. 2 EL clubs were after Milik so there was clearly an awareness of his availability - and he chose Poole, even though the other club looked to be in the driving seat for his signature!. To score 5 points (including a fall) in the GP challenge at Poole should enable him to score at least his average if not a little more. It'll take a while on the away tracks however!!
  13. I assume he's a 'Category 2' rider for the EL and his Czech/Polish average appears on the 'end of season list' compiled by the BSPA/SCB. If he was going into PL then he would be on a 7 point average, so 4 points seems about right - unless of course there are protests at the January meeting, as with Piotr Pawlicki previously!
  14. Even moving towards advance ticket purchase via the interweb thingy - better than some other clubs I could mention!!!!!
  15. MF does it again!! There for all to see - and sign - in the GP Challenge, and on a 4 point average as well. 7.50 left for the final rider.
  16. Only quoting what is said in the Speedway Star!!!!
  17. Just because Morris has stated that he's about to make a major announcement that will 'disappoint some speedway fans' - everyone thinks it means he's coming to Poole?! Ha ha.
  18. I thought it was one of the same 'Plymouth promotion and Management' team that signed a contract with Lemon in the first place?!
  19. From that description I was having trouble distinguishing which was chalk and which was cheese!!!??
  20. Far far far too much time on your hands!!!! Funny though!
  21. Amidst all the blaming of either Somerset, the BSPA or whoever - it seems that Nick has only found out about all this by checking on Facebook!!!
  22. ...and despite all the so-called 'shenanigans' - still offered and signed a contract with one of the 3 co-promoters!!
  23. Yes, looks as though Robins are now favourites for Klindt! Too many fixture clashes for Poole, according to his tweets. Someone's loss is another's gain, I guess!!?
