  1. Anders reports that after a full CT scan, he is 'only' suffering from concussion with no other injuries!!
  2. As Toady reported above, the Cradley news is as a result of an article in the Speedy Star this week, naming a new 4-man consortium looking at/for alternative sites.
  3. I didn't catch all of today's proceedings - I watched from around 10.45am, but got a real feeling that the SCS guys scored very well picking gaping holes in Mr Eadies report (which incidentally he only edited as the legwork was done by someone else in the office!). The inquiry is due to go on til at least Thursday, with 'summing up' scheduled for Friday, which may go into the following week. Matt Ford is due to fly in to speak on Wednesday(27th) and Clark Osborne at 0930 on Thursday (28th). The final input today was the Council's Labour Cllr who 100% confirmed their cross-party intention to save Coventry Speedway and Stadium. Good to hear.
  4. He is a Sports and Leisure consultancy that uses Sport England And various football playing field directives, which are all based on participation numbers rather than spectating numbers. His report should be torn to shreds its so full of holes and inaccuracies.
  5. That's Sport England for you. They are all about participation not spectator numbers.
  6. No problem - there will be a chateau built in place of the grandstand!
  7. Does Coventry have a Chateau nearby? Will he be in partnership with anybody? Coventry Robins anyone? ....and why would Mr Osborne request to speak after MF next Weds, rather than before him?
  8. Why would Phil Morris mention it at a Public enquiry then, as its now a matter of record?
  9. Too much prevarication by the appellants. Back next week.
  10. Maybe it's one of those other tracks owned by the Oxford greyhound guy?
  11. But it's,a public enquiry/appeal so everything said in the Council Chamber will become a matter of record.
  12. Phil Morris quoted Chris Louis that they had over 3000 for their ko Cup tie! And that Mondays rained off BV meeting had the largest advance sales ever.
  13. Didn't he say the 'new' track hadn't hosted speedway before?
  14. The stream is a decent option Steve - watching it 'Live' while waiting for the Cherries to win their first match!!!! PS. Matt Ford enters the Council Chamber for the Coventry Stadium Appeal this morning!!!!!
  15. When the AFCB fixture was first announced I said it could be a problem! They usually have their midweek matches on a Tuesday rather than a Wednesday! As LC has said, if Poole don't get a win at Scunny on Friday then those that usually like to attend both the Pirates and the Cherries will probably opt for the Vitality. As for Poole choosing on off race night as an alternative. the statement says they tried for Tuesday but the stadium was not available. Mon/Thurs/Friday would be out so not sure what the alternative would be.
  16. Probably a stadium staffing issue?! Either that or the stadium have had some success in hiring out their venue facilities!?? It does however mean we clash with a AFCB home cup match on 27th which will no doubt have some effect on attendance!!
  17. Updated weather forecast is for heavy rain during Wednesday.
