  1. Phil Morris quoted Chris Louis that they had over 3000 for their ko Cup tie! And that Mondays rained off BV meeting had the largest advance sales ever.
  2. Didn't he say the 'new' track hadn't hosted speedway before?
  3. The stream is a decent option Steve - watching it 'Live' while waiting for the Cherries to win their first match!!!! PS. Matt Ford enters the Council Chamber for the Coventry Stadium Appeal this morning!!!!!
  4. When the AFCB fixture was first announced I said it could be a problem! They usually have their midweek matches on a Tuesday rather than a Wednesday! As LC has said, if Poole don't get a win at Scunny on Friday then those that usually like to attend both the Pirates and the Cherries will probably opt for the Vitality. As for Poole choosing on off race night as an alternative. the statement says they tried for Tuesday but the stadium was not available. Mon/Thurs/Friday would be out so not sure what the alternative would be.
  5. Probably a stadium staffing issue?! Either that or the stadium have had some success in hiring out their venue facilities!?? It does however mean we clash with a AFCB home cup match on 27th which will no doubt have some effect on attendance!!
  6. Updated weather forecast is for heavy rain during Wednesday.
  7. Pirates at full strength. Monarchs have Howarth at 1 for Craig Cook. All subject to the weather of course which doesn't look too great at the moment!
  8. Not sure what any of this has got to do with Poole v Scunthorpe, but there again it is Lewy!!!
  9. The club that a rider ends the season with has first option on his services for the next season, no matter if he's an asset or not.
  10. To be fair its quite amazing the recovery effects of a night at Middlo's!!!
  11. Always good to witness a bit of Scottish in-fighting between fans!! (3 emojis in case anyone is offended?) and another for luck!
  12. Lawson said after the meeting and in the post-meeting report that the track was not how they expected it to be! Reckons it'll be different (better?) for next Wednesday!
  13. So not far off. Decent meeting. Track left a bit to be desired but same for both teams. Well done to Scunthorpe and Dougie and Drew in particular.
  14. So Plymouth seeking a Commercial Manager to bring in more funds to allow them to compete in 2024. Planning to run Saturdays (or Tuesdays when it's a GP weekend) for which permission already given by SCB, and to be ratified at BSPL AGM in Tenerife in November!
  15. Not sure that many Poole fans are 'writing off Scunthorpe'? Scunny have riders who go well at Wimborne Road so Pirates will all have to be 100% on it to get a decent lead (No pressure!!), as this could turn out to be a real 'banana skin of a meeting'! Its a bit overcast today but no rain forecast and no hot sun which should make track prep a little easier. Lets go Racing.........!
  16. Yeah but only managed 2x3rd places compared to 7 points on his previous visit!!
  17. So whats the rule for using guests in the play-offs? Can a rider only guest for one team, assuming the 8-day guest rule also still applies?!
  18. Not sure Zach Cook is 100% fit with his arm injury, so could be a bit less one-sided.
  19. Very clever and astute by the Glasgow promotion. Its within the rules so expect it to be tweaked at the AGM. Matt Ford would be both annoyed and proud!
  20. I asked the original question (Thanks for your response) as the wording on the BSPL 'Basic League Info' section on their website reads differently - and therefore confusingly - to the SCB rules. I have emailed the BSPL office this morning for clarification/confirmation.
