  1. A bit surprised there was no mention of it in the sport's leading magazine - unless I missed it!!?
  2. In this week's SS it states he's available from 1st May!! Although I confess that I thought I'd seen an earlier statement that said from 31st May?! I presume that some others on the list currently marked with a # (only able to guest!) might also change?!
  3. You must have missed the post that stated Phil Morris would be keeping the FT scores/averages up to date - and as the note on the BSPA's site says 'they will be updated in a revised list each month' and remain valid for that month from the 1st to the last day of that month. (ps. Its not my quote - its taken straight from the BSPA notes at the bottom of the FT riders list.)
  4. Exactly!! When he's fully fit for British racing on 14th May!!!! as long as he doesn't get injured again?! Nothing missed - that is what is happening, subject to any further injuries!!?
  5. Points limits are not what is dissuading the 'top' riders from the EL - its their cost, pure and simple. (although I agree a gradual points increase must be considered over the longer term. At the moment, they simply cannot be afforded. Promoters will/can not risk speculating on big expensive signings if they cannot guarantee sufficient through the gate or costs covered by sponsorship and that ain't about to happen in a fragile economy!!
  6. Always good to see co-operation between promotions!!
  7. Stories emerging in the UK national sports pages that Smolinski's NZGP engine has been banned due to modifications to the ignition system, which apparently allowed him to change ignition settings during a race!!!!?
  8. No idea. It must have come from someone connected to the printing of the BV programme, as I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else??
  9. The official list currently has 36 riders on it, including some that have not yet raced or only as a guest. The new official ranking list as I've said elsewhere is not effective til 1st May!!
  10. Taken from the BSPA Elite League averages: A new FT grade list will be amended according to current form and issued with BSPA Green sheets. The updated FT Grade list will take effect 1st of month until the last day of the month. Riders can be added or removed at each of the months FT grade list so we only have to wait another few days to see the first official updated list!!
  11. Where have you seen this??/ Maybe someone has been crystal ball gazing and seen that he's going to get injured riding NL at the weekend!!!??? If so he can only be replaced by another FT reserve lower down the ranking list, as the new revised list (with possible other riders on it) is not active til 1st May!!
  12. and repeated in the Speedway Star and by Poole's PRO in the BV meeting preview on Poole's forum today - the facility was for a minimum of 28 days and Darcy will return for Lakeside on May 14th! (unless that changes?)
  13. Morris and Batch in riding order switch - not sure if that's permanent or just for the Eastie fixture this evening!!
  14. Good news (I think) - it just goes to show that I shouldn't trust what Matt was quoted as saying in the local rag!!!!
  15. Using your example of introducing Lindgren for Howarth, I guess it would depend on whether both Andersen and Harris are classed as 'A' grade riders, (as per 17.4.2.)???
  16. How much does a cleaning job at the Uni pay these days???
  17. But as I say that's from 3 home and 1 away so far. If he can't stay on the bike at home goodness knows how few he will score away - at least in the 'A' fixtures!! As far as the N0.2 riders are concerned, they are up against the opposing No 1 in heat 1 and also against the opposing 3 & 5 in heat 10 at home, so not all 'easy' rides!!
  18. and we only have to wait til Monday to do it all again!!
  19. I bet Steve Brum won it!! Or wouldn't he have bought a ticket??!!
  20. Milik has ridden 4 meetings so far (3H/1A), taking 16 rides and scoring 28+1 points - hardly 'world-beater' stats!!!!!!
  21. Excellent response - couldn't have put it better myself - obviously!!
  22. Heavy rain forecast for 7pm onwards - depending which forecast you believe!!!! Are BBC West Midlands radio due to broadcast this evenings meeting - or are they banned?
  23. I have no idea what changes there might be next year in Premier League football or F1 or Super League Rugby or Sky Netball or Premier League Darts, and don't know whether the participants in those sports do either?? I shall still watch when I want to as will many others in large numbers!!
