Speedway Best Pairs

Darcy has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. He is withdrawing from all club racing and having 'intensive' physio-type treatment with the aim of attempting to ride in the Finland and Prague GPs - if he cannot race to an acceptable level then its likely he will have the op sooner rather than later, as Middlo is recommending!! But its Darcy's sole decision! -
If the EL clubs had been able to reduce their admission charges - as proposed - then the EL would have been much better VFM for all fans. However they were outvoted by the PL clubs, claiming any EL price reduction would severely damage their own businesses!!! So, 'working together' for what most fans want ie cheaper admission, didn't work!!

Hope Paul Carrington is the referee!! -
Is he even the 'new' Swindon's to sell/loan?????
-
Re-Run Productions will probably have their best ever sales of this meeting DVD. If its available by next Wednesday I'm sure someone will post the relevant exclusion! She!!!!
-
Who are these people who were supposedly there and saw it differently??
-
No need to sack him, he can only do one more week. We may use guests anyway, although there's not that many good enough to choose from!!
-
Apparantly (from a Swindon source) the loan fee may already have been paid?! Desperate for any income in 'rain-off' Wiltshire at the moment!! ps. A reduced fee too as he hasn't ridden EL for a season and a half!! pps. If it were for Emil does the loan fee go to Rosco???
-
So, Holder can ride one more home meeting v Lakeside before his Danish commitments kick in, so once again, who do people think will replace him/Darcy?? Hancock? Too early in the season and fully committed abroad?! (Doubtful) Lindback? Out injured with broken scaphoid! (No chance) KK? Too busy with other commitments. (Unlikely, but could be persuaded by his psychologist and UK manager ??) Miedzinski? Good possibility, if Torun are happy with his form? (Possible) Sayfutdinov? Big name for the fans but poor form coming back from injury! (Possible) Lindgren? Needs extra sharpness for the GPs and would love a midweek track for a change?! (Unlikely) Thoughts....?

As I stated I had previously no issues with Cook. As most that know me are aware, I don't do Twitter so I was/am oblivious to what was 'tweeted'!! My reference to a lack of professionalism stemmed from witnessing the 'rolling' for which Bay City is renowned and the Pawlicki crash first hand and Cook did not even ride back to check he was ok or not - something that most decent riders do when an incident is not their fault as Cook apparently claimed!! It was something that his 2 sponsors also felt was wrong!! It wasn't me using the term 'dirty rider' - I was just quoting from your post. It applies as much to a rider covered in shale as it does to racing unfairly or as it does to off-track antics.
-
I was sat in the grandstand close to 2 of Cook's sponsors who were quite frankly embarrassed by his behaviour last night!! As far as being 'professional' and 'no history of being a dirty rider' - I wonder if Ipswich fans would agree. Prior to last night I had no issues with Cook and applauded him as I do when anyone guests for Poole - BUT last night he was 'Out of Order'!! I don't have any problems with a bit of crowd gesticulation - it all adds to the atmosphere, but as someone has already said, if Nicki Pedersen had done what 'Bay City' Cook did there would be pages and pages of rightful criticism.
-
Hopefully not - far too professional!!!
-
and still nobody can quote the rule that has supposedly (but not) been broken!!
-
Great to see Noddy back to his best with a paid 4-ride max. Track was a bit dusty after the threat of rain, but very smooth nonetheless. Very disappointed with Cook - clearly not competitive unless he gets a rolling start and rightly warned by the ref. The deliberate taking out of Pawlicki in heat 6 on the 4th bend coming into the straight was simply dangerous and deserved more than just a race exclusion!! A good solid win by the Pirates.

Thought you were his biggest fan, having predicted his average would drop to was it 2.50 last time around??!

Knee ligaments! He tweaked it originally in the Troy Bayliss meeting in Oz in the Winter and then did it worse in the NZ GP crashes when he even snapped the knee brace he was wearing in that big off with Smolinski!! -

Simple was about right!!! -
What rule are they sticking to and Poole not?? What is wrong with giving a few of the FT riders the opportunity to guest and going for the best of the bunch?!
-
No way - out of my league, my pension wouldn't allow it!!!!
-
and breaking no rules in the process!!!!
-
So is tonight Chris Holder's last Poole meeting for the time being??!
-
He is. And a damn good sponsor too!!

Wolves V Poole Ela 5/5/14
SteveLyric2 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Whose confidence did Poole ruin on Monday??? (Just keeping to topic, you understand!!) -
... because they don't have their normal 6 & 7!!
-
KK's testimonial is not due for the end of season!! If it were to be KK then Poole wouldn't have needed to pay a loan fee for Darcy's replacement!!?? Always good to have a good relationship with Torun!! So will it be Adrian or Emil??
