Yes and Yes! I'll let the centregreen staff know they can stand close to the white line then, with no front wheels on the grass to worry about!!! -

Best of the recent Pairs meetings by far!!!! The only thing I want to know and say about the commentary is who is Shamek Pawlicki's older brother masquerading as for Wolves??? -

...and back to reality and this thread in particular. Poole welcome back Kyle Newman, after his 7 points for Plymouth, but I still agree with those forecasting a close meeting. Weather aside, the track will be prepared very similar to Lakeside's so no real home advantage! Think it may depend on how PK and LB ride ??! A close home win!! -
Finally!!! Thanks Penny Cross. But I'm sure that some will still want to make something more of it!!

He can't be in 2 places at once on Wednesday!!!!

He was 'throwing some shapes' in the after-meeting disco under the stand apparently?! Maybe its all part of the sports science and psychology.......................?? -
I'm told Smart tweeted it himself!!!

It was me who was sat close to 2 of Cook's sponsors (see post #152). I was actually sat immediately behind them. They are from a company who sponsor Poole and who also sponsor Cook (Many Poole sponsors also sponsor riders in other teams and disciplines, not all of whom are Poole assets, but that's a different topic)! I know what they said and how they reacted, so I will not comment further on this issue.

Well if Zagar was stuck behind Janowski at BV, then he couldn't have been that fast and should know better!!!

Team riding to try to block an opponent is very skilful. Deliberately - or even accidentally - shunting a passing rider into the air fence is not! As has been stated, if accidental why not ride round to check PP was ok. Such an act of concern would have got the home grandstand applauding, including his sponsors!!! It wouldn't have stopped the obvious exclusion, but may have left a less bitter taste in the mouths of many that were there!

Hopefully for the last time, Poole submitted a new 1-7 on 25th April including Compton in place of Smart, who was told he was being dropped. Compton got injured initially that same day, so Poole withdrew that 1-7 and reverted to the original team including Smart. Smart was unavailable for the BV meeting on Monday 28th, but resumed his place on Wednesday 30th April. Smart then announced his retirement from speedway affecting both Poole and Devon Demons (the latter having to replace Smart with Greenwood at the weekend and Poole having to use a guest, Luke Crang, on Monday at Wolves). Simples. No rules broken, All is well with the world!

If Payne's not recovered, not much of a choice left from the FT list - perm any one of only 3!!? -
Well of course its an allegation. Only Cook can know what was actually in his mind being so fired up as he was with officialdom!! Supporters can only get their valid opinions on the incidents from what they see, either live or on dvd. Others who weren't there have a less-valid opinion imo, but are as entitled to express it if they so wish and certain others will just stir the ****!!!

Team GB have a team in the World U21 Cup semi-finals against Germany, Czechs and Aussies, using Howarth, Ellis, Lambert and Garrity. Lets see how they get on on June 7th to see if any are ready to step up with Woffy, Cook, King and the like? -

Darcy has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. He is withdrawing from all club racing and having 'intensive' physio-type treatment with the aim of attempting to ride in the Finland and Prague GPs - if he cannot race to an acceptable level then its likely he will have the op sooner rather than later, as Middlo is recommending!! But its Darcy's sole decision! -
If the EL clubs had been able to reduce their admission charges - as proposed - then the EL would have been much better VFM for all fans. However they were outvoted by the PL clubs, claiming any EL price reduction would severely damage their own businesses!!! So, 'working together' for what most fans want ie cheaper admission, didn't work!!
