  1. Well at least it should be a full-bloodied fixture on 5th September with hopefully 2 full sides fighting for the final play-off place!!!
  2. Most of the commentators for minor sports are self employed. At least with Nigel and Kelvin, whilst we might not always agree with their opinion at least they get the facts and the names right the majority of the time!! Even the riders and their gate positions were stated wrongly last night - despite them being on the screen caption!!!
  3. As much as I would always want to see Darcy Ward racing, his return to the full Poole side last Wednesday didn't appear to produce a bigger attendance for the Bees meeting so I hope Jon Cook's intentions are not misguided!! But if it is to be called off, then it would entirely be up to the home promotion and Poole wouldn't want to unduly influence any other promotion's business decisions!!! In fact they would be completely supportive if it was likely to damage the home club's attendance and financial stability!!
  4. Cheers. So the clubs can't be making money with the costs of so many top riders and squads!!/
  5. Is this an FIM meeting then??! What about Ermolenko's 'Lagatu and Gerroff'!!??
  6. Darcy tweaked his knee again in the Pairs tonight so who knows?!
  7. 2219 for this meeting?! - where were they all hiding, behind the camera? Anyway the size of crowd is of less importance than how much they pay to get in as a guide to how financially stable the clubs are? I'm just interested to get some comparisons.
  8. My final point was a real question!! Of course the other potential issue for those taking part in the pairs in Sweden is will there be any travel problems getting back to the UK with it being a bank holiday weekend?? Now that's flippant!!! ?????? I'm not a golfer!!
  9. .....'cos he's up against better riders??
  10. Great signing for Birmingham in particular and the EL in general. I hope Brummie fans flock to PB in huge numbers - so that he will get paid!!
  11. Its not Nicholls now - as pointed out earlier. The Poole website initially said it was but have since updated it to Kalle Katajisto!! I assume the European Team U21 semi final in Czecho (in which Milik competes) is not an FIM meeting?? Just for good measure there are riders from both teams in the final round of the Eurosport pairs this evening! Presumably, if any rider gets injured in that meeting, then their EL team would not get a facility for tomorrow either??!
  12. Good point for the Poole boys - much better than I expected, so well done!!
  13. Come on SCB, you know the Poles always come first and there's an official agreement with BSPA, and Nicholls for Pawlicki? Hardly an improvement!! Hopwood's NL fixtures were confirmed well before Poole signed him (and lakeside are riding on an 'off-race night'!) and I've never heard of Kingston. Boxall for Milik - yes a great guest there, I'll give you that!!! ??
  14. Pawlicki in a Polish league meeting, Hopwood riding for Stoke and Milik, I don't know - but probably still recovering from his birthday celebrations, if you want something to chew on!!?
  15. Are you sure you were at Wimborne Road Speedy?? You know Poole never has decent racing , no overtaking and a c**p track!!!! It was a good meeting and glad you enjoyed it!! Keep spreading the word....!
  16. Scott Nicholls, Steve Boxall and Jack Kingston covering for Pawlicki, Milik and Hopwood!!! Enjoy the win Lakeside!!
  17. Well done to the Bees for that comeback. Goodness knows what they had in their interval tea but they certainly upped their game in the last 5 heats. The big difference between the 2 teams was at reserve where Garrity had Newman all night long - the top 5s were pretty equal over all although very impressed with Hansen once he got dialled in!! I see gavan is continuing to play the 'Holder back' card. Wrong again though - Holder can't do the fixtures!!!! The big question now though is will Darcy's last heat spill put him out of any more fixtures?! Well done again to the Bees
  18. Isn't part of the TV issue, not just about whether the meeting is 'televised' but whether it is shown in the country concerned and what the financial 'rewards' implications and viewing figures are likely to be??!
