In a meeting, either reserve can replace any of the 1-5, as long as the minimum 3 ride rule is adhered to or a rider withdraws from the meeting due to injury, in which case the Ir/r rule kicks in allowing any rider below the injured rider's average to replace him!

The 2 specialists so far have said no operation required but one says out for 6 weeks; the other out for 2 weeks, so understandably he wants another opinion. I thought the argument for Sky not bidding for the current SGP contract was partly financial but mainly because they already have more than enough live Saturday evening sport?! Or does the launch of Sky Sports 5 (in August) for all European Football, open up some capacity on Sky Sports 1-4 on a Saturday?

Interesting page in the Poole programme for the Leicester meeting featuring a few posts from BSF members on a page entitled "Speedway with a Smile"!! If I knew how to reproduce it I would, but it includes posts from 'Penny Cross', The Voice of Reason' x 2, 'Sugarray', 'Scottyfan', 'OGT', 'Ommer Man', and 'Hulvik' - all recalling amusing speedway incidents from the past!!

After witnessing Lion's performance at Poole this evening, I reckon their team on Saturday will be considerably stronger to take on the Robins!!

Rider of the Night Award to Kennett! Great to see Middlo working his magic with the young(ish) Brit!! A great job done by all the top 5 Pirates on a much better track - as commented by several of the riders at the end of meeting interviews!! Very disappointed by the Lions - especially their top 3!!
