Emil Sayfutdinov 2015
SteveLyric2 replied to OveFundinFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Has the change of ownership at Torun already taken place or is it an 'end of season' thing? If I understood the translation of the story correctly, it would seem the new owners want to introduce a new lower pay scale for its riders - which may not go down too well with the likes of Emil!!? -
Except CVS it would seem!!

Why not pm Wizzer and ask him those questions?? -
Otherwise the home team would have been fined for not completing their fixtures!!

...but not at the July cut-off point!!!

If it had been a Poole rider this thread would have been 20 pages long already!!!!

Its a similar effect with some of the threads on here!!

But still below Johnson's!! As I stated previously there must be other data being used than just NL averages!! Not all the FT riders are in the NL for a start - don't some ride in all 3 leagues and some in EL/PL or PL/NL ? So there has to be some sort of formula that Phil Morris has on his spreadsheet. Compton was out for a month with a scaphoid injury so presumably would have had some effect if some form of 'rolling' averages are also being calculated?! How can anyone directly compare/rank a NL rider against a EL/NL or PL/NL rider without some sort of 'weighting'??

Maciej Janowski signed for Rospiggarna to replace Walasek! -
He could still be replaced by Benji Compton as a guest - if required and available!

I admit to being a little surprised to read this in the EL section?! But good luck to all the riders, especially Kyle Newman, for an injury-free evening. Clearly there seem to be some 'fans' that are not in the 'any speedway is better than no speedway' camp, even though there is no live TV speedway on tonight!!

Leicester V Wolverhampton 9 Aug

...but not on Saturdays!!! I hope this is not a case of Wolves cheating??! -
I too have met the Dugards (back in the Dugard/Cook promotional days) and worked with them on one of the indoor meetings. I respect what they as a family have done for the Eagles. However there are some - even among the most avid Eagles supporters - who would say that Bob can be/has been a little 'pig-headed' at times. possibly making decisions from the heart rather than his head. I'm sure he's not alone in that!!? Maybe his decision to continue operating at EL level for so long has proved to be not one of the best decisions?! Just my opinion and not having a dif.

The rule change was notified to and agreed by promoters no later than August 1st - possibly earlier! Compton's willingness to ride for Poole was confirmed by Sunday 3rd latest and notified, as is required, in readiness for Poole's home meeting on Wednesday 6th. Compton was not available/ready to ride on Monday 4th August. The rule change was made public on the BSPA website on Tuesday 5th August. The only thing missing from the situation is any explanation from either the BSPA or the Fast Track Co-ordinator as to the revised rider positions in the list - BUT whatever formula is being used to update the list each month, it is presumably taking into account rider performances upto a cut-off point each month. For example Darren Mallett is on a NL average of 9+ points yet is only No. 22 on the list, so the placings must take into account other data and calculations. A clarification would ne nice.

Apologies. I was not trying to be 'nasty', merely drawing attention to those promoters who have another big successful business to offset some of their losses - as opposed to those that don't and for whom Speedway is their main business! The thread is a general Eastbourne thread and I'm entitled to post as much as the next person. I sincerely hope that Eastbourne do not disappear and that new promoters can be found and choose to run at whatever level their budget allows. If that happens to be in a different league/division to your south coast neighbours, then I shall be disappointed at missing my visits to Arlington.

Are They Really Saving Money?
SteveLyric2 replied to marko's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Very true - but in that case he shouldn't have commited to EL racing! Not having a go at Killer- any of the 'top' riders fall into a similar bracket!! -
Nasty?????? Just factual!

I just wish all this was on a "BSPA 2014" thread. Even those forumers who usually blame Poole for everything are accepting that for any changes made all or most promoters are culpable!

I don't think its the EL promoters you have to convince!!
