Look as I've said right from the beginning, I don't condone what he has done, and he has to be punished appropriately, BUT we don't yet know all the facts do we?? We don't know anything about whether there was a blood or urine test; whether the breath test equipment was calibrated etc etc. All I'm saying is that the FIM rules allow for a punishment in these circumstances, of a fine plus a minimum of a reprimand ( maybe a slapped wrist and suspended sentence?) and a maximum of a 2 year ban. Its quite clear what the 'anti-Ward' people want as much as its equally clear what the 'pro-Ward' fans would prefer. Lets just wait and see.

But the punishment according to FIM rules could have been a fine and reprimand with no ban!!! Aside from maybe being seen to make a point, they would have looked a little silly if they'd sacked him and then the FIM hadn't banned him. Any promoter would think twice about replacing a rider with the 2nd highest EL average from Monday. He didn't ride enough meetings which is why he's still on assessed 8 points!!

Well with the new September averages now out, Poole have the pick of any EL rider to guest for their remaining EL away fixtures (except Doyle - Visa!) and even NKI possible for home meetings, if available!! Not sure what happens for the play-offs, after the 28 day facility?? r/r I guess.

Hardly the 'latest' as this was from yesterday!!! Unless Darcy's average has increased sufficiently with effect from 1st September then neither Hancock nor Holder would be possible!! Unless Matt Ford decided to make 2 changes considering Pawliki's injury as well - but I think that would mean redeclaring within a 32 point 1-5?! Can you just imagine the vitriol on here in about 6 weeks time if Poole were to still win the play-offs with guests!!?? No doubt with all the expected accusations of cheating, rule bending, having the BSPA in Poole's pocket etc etc blah blah blah!! Can't wait!!
