  1. Just seems a bit pointless rehashing whats been on here several times over since the suspension. Its not saying anything new is it??
  2. Well he's listed in the ELRC field announced today for the 25th, so looks as though he will be fit!
  3. with his dad I would imagine, possibly amongst others!! That was in 2012 at the back of his house in Oz - out of season - and it didn't amount to a 'conviction' in Aussie law!!
  4. Rome??? Why Rome?? I don't get it!! Opposite direction as it happens.
  5. ...and we all know that riders always follow doctors' advice!!
  6. Legal !!!! Theres a piece from one of the Polish media sites, which I can't now find the link to, which is questioning the accuracy of the reading and the circumstances of the actual test. Also if the translation was accurate, The FIM's Armando Castagna seemed to be 'recommending' a lenient punishment, possibly a suspended sentence??!
  7. I reckon Swindon will be looking for some more financial help from their sponsors to pay for tonite's points, cos they ain't gonna get enough through the gates whatever the price!!!
  8. Not if its wet and heavy, which lets face it is most of the time except for afternoon meetings!! A good summary TNT. Enjoy your day in Poole. I hope Milik now as a heat leader isn't going to affect his racing too much?! he looked nothing like his usual (2nd string) self!! Still, every cloud and all that - Pawlicki will be back as a second string for the play-offs - if not before. Great performances by the Wolves guests - both riders wanting to prove a point over their possible play-off opponents - making Wolves very worthy of a point last night with some terrific racing from both teams. Almost forgot well done to Lewis - the entertainer, certainly seems to have changed opinions positively in the Poole crowd!! (hope he doesn't have too many engine problems on Friday ) As for the crowd - it wasn't too bad, bearing in mind the schools have gone back, but there were some gaps in the grandstand which I haven't seen in a good while - definitely the DW effect!! Anyway that's my league fixtures done for the season, apart from Friday part 2 at lakeside, as holidays beckon from the weekend until the play-offs.
  9. Wouldn't it be great if British speedway clubs all owned their own stadia and had nothing else programmed in to stop them doing whatever they wanted!!!!! Ooops sorry, nodded off there for a moment!!!
  10. So we resume with the hope of much better weather and a much better track this time around. Lakeside have Summers in for Nilsson. Poole have Kildemand and Woodward in for Ward and Pawlicki. I think Poole should be worth at least a point this time!
  11. Especially on Mondays and Fri/Saturdays.!!! (except KK for Birmingham, but there were other issues!!)
  12. All those drawing comparisons with last season's BV fixture seem to be conveniently forgetting that Belle Vue were unable to restage the meeting before the cut-off, so if the BV meeting had been abandoned before heat 10, then Poole would have been awarded maximum away points anyway!! Monday's meeting should simply have been abandoned when the rain came and rearranged as a double header for Friday. Simples.
  13. Ronnie is the Sky Track Co-ordinator or Liaison Officer - nothing to do (in theory) with the SCB Meeting Steward, Mick Bates!!
  14. which is why they now have a Meeting 'Co-ordinator' eg Mick Bates last night. Not that it seemed to make much difference. Didn't I say 'managers'!!
  15. Do try to keep up ww!! And try to post on the relevant thread!! Darcy's initial fine and ban was from the Latvia GP that he failed the breath test for - that is the maximum the FIM GP jury can dish out. His provisional suspension from all competitions was effective from approx. 11.00 am on Thursday 29th August - the EL cut-off date for any new signings. He hasn't ridden anywhere since, and Poole and Piraterna and Torun are using a mix of guests(Poole) and/or squad members(Piraterna/Torun) until the end of the season or until the FIM final decision on punishment - which could still be a 'slap on the wrist'!!
  16. As posted on the Lakeside v Poole thread: The Speedway Control Bureau rule states: 15.11 After Heat 10 in an official Team fixture, only the Team that is losing may request a track inspection, or seek abandonment of the Meeting. So it was the Belle Vue call last season and should have been Swindon's decision 2 weeks ago. It should also have been up to Poole last night!! Maybe they all need to recheck the rules - referees, riders, managers, promoters and Sky!!!
  17. Actually I am wrong with the above statement as is poster SCB with his!!! The Speedway Control Bureau rule states: 15.11 After Heat 10 in an official Team fixture, only the Team that is losing may request a track inspection, or seek abandonment of the Meeting. So it was the Belle Vue call last season and should have been Swindon's decision 2 weeks ago. It should also have been up to Poole last night!! Maybe they all need to recheck the rules - referees, riders, managers, promoters and Sky!!!
  18. I believe it is correct - but not because Lakeside were leading at the time, its because Lakeside are the HOME team!! Its why BV had the call last year (Captain,Magnus Zetterstrom!) and why Coventry wanted to carry on and Swindon didn't 2 weeks ago!!
