It has to be a Wednesday/Thursday option. Fridays are as much as a 'no go' as weekends for the EL.

So if this competition is to be held in 2015 and if Poole are the UK champions - at least they won't have the same rider difficulties as this year with neither Torun nor Piraterna winning their respective championships!!

GP/Euro riders generally do not want regular Monday night racing in UK. The occasional Sky meeting is ok to fit in their schedules - but NOT every week!!

MF has said Poole will 'probably' go with r/r at 1. I think a final decision on whether a guest or r/r will be made after tonight's ELRC performances - depending on how Poole's other assets do!!!?

Good to see all is still well as far as Poole are concerned in BSF world after my 2 weeks hols!! Well done the 'Patched up Pirates' for finishing top of the EL season. Well done to the other 3 teams for also getting to the play-offs. Can't wait for the semis and final. ps. anyone seen Josh G's 'statement' on facebook?!

The majority of Poole fans support Ward AND agree that he should be punished appropriately, as long as every testing process was carried out properly, despite Darcy admitting to being 'slightly' over!! If he was only slightly over on a test that was not performed correctly then there is every chance the reading could have been wrong! We don't know yet! Right or wrong, young riders need all the support they can get!!

If Poole don't win the league play-offs, it'll be because they were beaten by the better team over the two leg semis and/or the 2 leg final - which will be thoroughly deserved whoever it is!!!

Bridger talking to Matt about guesting again on Wednesday - although not sure its possible unless the 8-day rule has been waived?! Whats Compton supposed to do, ride with a broken finger?? He's withdrawn from the Eastie fixture this evening!!

Phil Rising posted about this a few days ago now. There was possibly a question about the testing procedure bearing in mind the last minute switch of venues and some of the chaotic arrangements that were having to be made to switch the meeting eg, was the test done in an area where there was methanol which could have affected the reading? Was the machinery used properly calibrated? Were other tests ie urine, blood also carried out? etc etc. Not saying any of it was right or wrong - just being questioned, as it has to be fair, whatever people think of Ward!!

If the FTR system was introduced solely to assist the development of young Brits (which we know it wasn't - it was to cut costs), then really only the best dozen or so plus those that missed out ie the Auty's, Birks of this world, have any realistic chance of ever representing Team GB. With due respect to the others they would be better off plying their trade in the PL/NL. EL 2015 = 1 FTR only!!

Tai (7.12) would always accept a guest booking for Darcy - as long as he is fit enough!! I mean we could even use him for Shamek at home (7.14)!!! and he's a second string now!!

I told you a while ago that Piotr wasn't happy at Wolves with all the Monday night meetings - but you didn't believe me did you?! Why would his brother lie???

When Sky were sponsoring the league in addition to televising the meetings the approx. amount to each EL club was £100k. Nowadays (and for the next 5 years) the deal is only for television rights which gives clubs far far less - but still leaves the (Russell) door open to get a 'main sponsor' from somewhere!!

At least he's a PL promoter at the helm - its the nearest you'll get to 'impartial' as far as the EL is concerned!! I like him - but agree he doesn't seem to get the support he deserves. Its too much for just one person to sort out!!

Great performance from the Bees - Bomber in particular, carrying on from his guest appearance the night before (one of the best sights in speedway watching Bomber on the charge!) Coventry could finish top on this showing and if they do I wonder who they would choose in the semis? even though its still not clear-cut who the final 4 will be?!
